The Acushnet Company, a leader in the Golf Industry, and home of Titleist and Cobra Golf, has an immediate opening:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with minimum supervision, conferring with engineers on unusual matters, use Unigraphics to conduct a wide variety of complex design tasks in the creation/production of new golf club designs, prototypes, and/or fixturing and tooling. May be assisted by entry or intermediate level personnel. Model and Sample Generation: Produce new models/concepts and refine existing models/concepts using a variety of techniques, including computer graphics/design/CAD generation. Integrate Industrial Design Team sketches and model in Unigraphics software utilizing highest level of CAD skill and problem solving to create a complete parametric model. Product Design Communication: Team with Industrial Design and Engineering staff to generate desired golf club forms, shapes, sculpting, features, artwork, engraving, aesthetics, medallions, secondary inserts, and cosmetics. Specifications/Drawings: Insure that accurate and controlled documents/specifications are generated for new product designs and manufacturing processes. Transfer engineering drawings to outside vendors and necessary internal customers.
Specific Skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
-AS Degree required, BS Degree preferred along with 3D Modeling training with emphasis on Surfacing
-5-7 years experience in Design using 3D modeling software, UG or similar high end modeling package.
-This position will require a broad knowledge of CAD principles, practices, and procedures.
-The incumbent must have a demonstrated high level of proficiency in 3-D CAD modeling, including advanced surfacing with Unigraphics software
-The position requires various design and CAD skills to develop and shape golf equipment products.
