I look absolutely terrible in beanies. But I still want to keep my head warm during the colder fall and winter months.
(Editor’s Note: Beanies are called “tuques” or something similar in most countries outside the U.S.)
It’s something I’ve struggled with for years. But I’m happy to report that I’ve finally found the perfect solution.
Enter the Melin Infinite Thermal line of hats.

I can already hear the groans. A $79 hat, really? I wouldn’t tell you about it If I didn’t think it was worth the cash. It’s not for everyone but not everyone hates the typical winter beanie like I do.
The Melin Infinite Thermal A-Game is my go-to winter hat. It’s lined with a warm microfleece that keeps my noggin toasty without looking absolutely awful or messing up my stunning hair.
For every $20 beanie I’ve tried and inevitably thrown away, the $79 price tag of the Melin Infinite Thermal A-Game doesn’t seem so bad. I’ve worn it on brisk fall mornings and unnaturally cool winter evenings. In all cases, it does its job perfectly.
A winter hat that doesn’t look like a winter hat? That’s its superpower. Catch me living in this hat for the next four months.

When it is cold my main concern is keeping vitals warm. Feet, hands, neck and EARS. This cap is very nice looking and probably keeps the top of your head warm, but when it is cold I am more concerned about comfort than looks, but you can do both. I always wear a beanie/toboggan when it is cold, but keeping the sun out of my eyes and off my face is important also, so I have those tour Titleist visors that I wear under my Titleist/FJ beanies. Really works well and I stay nice and warm, especially my ears. Actually have Black, White and a Navy Scotty Cameron visors to match my different colored Titleist and FJ beanies. Do want to look somewhat fashionable when staying warm……ha..ha..ha..Titleist and FJ also have nice gloves/cart mitts and neck gathers to keep you warm as well. I buy the hand warmers you can purchase at any sporting goods store or event walmart to put inside my cart mitts. Works well for the three to four weeks of winter we have here in the lowcountry of S Carolina. The hat is a nice concept for those who are losing their hair on top like me, but again it is more about the ears. Just sayin’..
