Yesterday afternoon we gave golfers that follow us on Twitter and Facebook the chance to ask John Daly 1 question they would love to know the answer to about him and his life. We got a good response with some great questions for Big John.

If you haven’t heard…Daly’s PGA Tour suspension is up and he will soon be back playing in the US. He is scheduled to play in the St. Jude Classic in Memphis starting June 8th.

1. (MyGolfSpy) – What keeps you coming back John? Many readers will not agree but we think that you get treated unfairly…you would be considered a role model if you were in the NFL…lol. So what is it about this game that keeps you wanting to play competitive golf on the PGA Tour?

(John Daly) – Because I feel I can still win and I want to compete.

2. (MyGolfSpy) – What position in football did you play in high school?

(John Daly) – Field Goal Kicker at Helias High Crusaders

3. (MyGolfSpy) – Do you have a new nickname for when you come back…since we won’t be able to call you Big John anymore…you have lost so much weight you might have to give that old nickname up.

(John Daly) – The “Mild Thing!” LOL

4. (MyGolfSpy) – What is your favorite driver you ever hit?

(John Daly) – I don’t have a favorite driver of all-time but I’m hitting the Adams Speedline right now and I love it!

5. (MyGolfSpy) – If you played an entire season on the PGA Tour and could remain healthy and focused…give us an idea of where you think you would finish for the season on the PGA rankings.

(John Daly) – I’m not sure…sometimes I play great and don’t score well and sometimes I play bad and score great. You can’t predict anything in this game.

6. (MyGolfSpy) – Are you going to be bringing the LoudMouth pants you have been wearing recently with you back to the US?

(John Daly) – Of Course!! (LoudMouthGolf.com)

7. (MyGolfSpy) – Guinness or JD & Diet Coke?

8. (MyGolfSpy) – Who taught you the range drill of hitting numerous wedge shots with one hand?

(John Daly) – I actually did myself with the left hand a long time ago and Coach Rick Smith has me doing it with my right hand now.

9. (MyGolfSpy) – The game of golf and the PGA sponsorships are struggling…do you think they should start doing some more entertaining things to bring more golfers in….like a long drive competition amongst the PGA guys or even the PGA vs. REMAX guys?

(John Daly) – I don’t think anything they do with the economy where it’s at right now will help with any tournaments.

10. (MyGolfSpy) – If they (PGA) continues to struggle to bring more golfers to the tube and to the game…do you ever see the day that there is another tour that challenges the PGA Tour similar to the ABA in basketball. A tour that will allow more free spirits and individualism?

(John Daly) – No, I don’t think so.
