Every year as we draw nearer to the FedEx Cup Playoffs, the drama becomes a little bit more intense.
Some golfers are fighting to make the playoffs while others are fighting to keep their PGA Tour cards. As a sports fanatic, I love it because more drama = more fun for bettors.
Here are my five favorite bets for the 2026 Wyndham Championship.
Mark Hubbard: Top 20-Finish (+550)
Mark Hubbard is 116th in the FedEx Cup standings. He desperately needs a big week.
He hasn’t played great this year but he’s coming off two made cuts and a top-five finish at the 2025 Wyndham Championship.
Jackson Koivun: Top-20 Finish (+125)
It’s no secret that Jackson Koivun is on a heater right now.
A bet on Koivun is worth considering, especially given his T5 finish at last year’s Wyndham Championship when he was an amateur. His win last month at the 3M Open in just his third start as a pro doesn’t hurt his odds.
Cameron Young: Outright Winner (+1000)
Cam Young finished runner-up at the Open Championship and T8 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
Young went through a slight slump (he still made every cut) leading up to the Open Championship but he seems to be back in form looking to defend his 2025 Wyndham Championship title.
Ryan Gerard: Top-10 Finish (+320)
With six in 22 starts, Ryan Gerard ranks seventh for top-10 finishes.
He’s coming off another solid week in Detroit so expect him to stay hot as he returns to his home state of North Carolina.
Hail Mary: Hideki Matsuyama, Justin Thomas and Brian Harman to finish Top 20 (+1602)
If you enjoy throwing a Hail Mary as time expires, feel free to bet on these three stars to create a +1602 parlay ($10 becomes $160). It’s worth a shot.
Happy betting!
