My name is Adam Beach. This place, this site, it’s more than just a business to me, it truly is an expression of who I am and what I believe in, down to my core. I feel the work I do is a reflection of who I am and the idea behind the work I do is more important than the work itself. You see, I don’t actually see myself in the golf business at all, I am in the business of caring. I am a guy who wakes up with one goal: do the right thing.

I have hit both now and think it really depends on what shafts you get. they are both comparable. Taylormade had little better feel but the Nike had a good shaft for me and was slightly more accurate but that had nothing to do with the head. I think you would be happy with either especially if you like to tinker.

      Ricky,

Yes the VR irons look nice…but they are only ok to hit. Looks mean nothing. And btw…the only reason the best player in the world has anything to do with Nike is because of money. He would never have played their irons if that wasn’t the case.

And just so you know Nike does not even really make the irons he plays. Good try though….I will give you this…I like your passion.

The Nike lovers just don’t believe that their irons are not that great…what can you do? In recent tests in Japan the Nike VR was the worst of almost every new iron being released in 2009. They studies mis-hits and on center hits. The results were not promising for the new VR line.

I would have to agree…I have never been a big fan of their designs. I AM happy they have pushed the proverbial envelope and changed some things in regards to design…but they have not found their niche yet…I think they are a few years away.

But for a company only around 10 years old they have done well for themselves. Just think they are trying to hold onto the Sumo concept as long as possible. Probably not a bad idea…well at least in regards to market share.

But honestly not much different and the yellow and red clash…I know color doe not matter but damn!

Yes, I hit last years model of the Nike SUMO. I absolutely love it, I have never hit a more consistent ball flight and I am a scratch golfer. Definately for a better player that likes to work the ball. I just purchased the Nike VR red irons that Tiger plays, best feeling irons I have ever hit. They are harder than most irons, but the D4 weight has a great play and feel. Work the ball left, right, low draw, high Fade. I have had great results with these irons.

If you are a good player trying to have a more consistent ball flight with instant feedback I would recommend playing Nike.
