Rickie Fowler and PUMA to honor “The King”

Arnold Palmer was a blue-collar kid from Latrobe, PA who ended up transcending the game of golf. There was nothing upper-crust or elitist about him, which is part of why he endeared himself to an entire generation of golf fans. Though I’m sure he’d brush aside any comparisons with deft humility, Rickie Fowler has more in common with The King than perhaps any other modern player.

As such, it’s fitting that Fowler with the support of Puma Golf will again don Palmer-inspired gear this week at Bay Hill for the Arnold Palmer Invitation. Specifically, Fowler will sport a custom PUMA Arnold Palmer P Cap, Limited Edition IGNITE PROADAPT footwear, and carry a custom COBRA x Vessel Stand Bag, all sporting the iconic Umbrella Logo.

PUMA will sell a limited number of Fowler’s custom Arnold Palmer items, with a small number of custom caps, stand bags and shoes, autographed by Fowler, available for purchase at pumagolf.com, with 100% of sales supporting the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation.

New for 2019, is an opportunity for fans to win the Ultimate Golf Package, which is open to anyone donating to the foundation. PUMA and the Arnold Palmer team are providing the winner with roundtrip airfare for two, hotel accommodations, and a round of golf at the prestigious Bay Hill Club & Lodge, along with a personal tour of Mr. Palmer’s office. Winners will also receive Fowler-signed custom Arnold Palmer gear (bag, “P” cap and shoes) and additional PUMA gear to wear on the course. Full details can be found here.

I almost bought one of these caps, but I just couldn’t pull the trigger on 40.00 for a cap.

Unfortunately it looks like the Puma link isn’t live yet, nor is the Prizeo contest.

Digging the 2-tone hat and the bag. Good for Cobra, Vessel and Rickie!
