Sun Day Red Is Chasing One Of Golf’s Fastest-Growing Markets

Sun Day Red is expanding its lineup in a way that makes plenty of sense right now. Women’s golf continues to grow, Mother’s Day is around the corner and the brand has officially introduced its first women’s collection.

The new Sun Day Red Women’s Collection includes performance apparel and footwear designed for the course and everything that surrounds it. According to the brand, the collection was built with the same focus on fit, fabric and finish that defines the rest of the Sun Day Red lineup.

A women’s collection built for golfers

This doesn’t sound like a casual logo drop or a women’s version added as an afterthought.

Sun Day Red is positioning the collection as performance-first. The press release describes it as “built for the competitor” and says every piece was designed for women who “know the work never stops.”

Women golfers have plenty of lifestyle options for golf clothing. What they don’t always have is the same level of attention to serious golf apparel as men’s collections.

Sun Day Red says the standards are the same

Sara Rutledge, Director of Product, Merchandising Apparel, summed up the purpose of the launch. “Women’s golf demands the same from its equipment and apparel as any other level of the game. We built this collection the same way we build everything else at Sun Day Red. With the details examined, the standards held and nothing included that doesn’t serve the competitor.”

That is probably the most important piece of the release. The message is not that women’s golf needs something softer or less technical. It’s that women golfers deserve the same performance standards.

What’s in the collection

Sun Day Red’s Spring/Summer 2026 Women’s Collection is a 15-piece capsule built around a clean, timeless look and pieces that can mix and match without much thought.

The core of the line includes Icon Polos in three silhouettes, a sporty mock-neck tee and a UV-protective quarter-zip. The performance side is anchored by the Icon Skort and Icon Pintuck Short. The Phoenix series adds lightweight, weather-resistant outerwear.

There are also a few off-course pieces. These include the Sunday Cashmere and the Pacific Luxe Set, made with a silky modal blend. The color palette stays pretty classic with navy and white.

Good luck to selling crazy over-priced clothes to women. Oh wait, designers have been doing that for centuries!
