Been using the AVX for awhile. A friend gave me a sleeve of maxfli tour s. Next purchase will be that ball.

Good price, but I’ve been doing a test this summer if I shoot the same scores with the cheapest balls I can find at the pro shop. Currently using Pinnacle at like $20 for a 15, and I’m still shooting in the 70s. Less feel around the green, but oh well. I’m done paying $70+ for a dozen.

I have been playing the Maxfli tour for about 96 balls (8 months). I find they yield decent spin on full short irons and moderate-great stopping spin off the 58degree partial lob wedge. In short, just like the MGS review… IMHO the best value for performance. 73yo, 18hcp, with bad ankles. Before I settled in to the Maxfli I was playing urethane covered soft balls (most of the brands) which I couldn’t stop on the greens when I short sided myself…which is frequently it seems. My hcp was 10-12 before my ankles clapped out. Riley

Your performance analysis is spot on. Also 73 y/o, with the dread slowing swing speed but this ball stops green-side very well. All around really solid and highly playable

Bought these on sale last year. Just don’t care for them as much as Titleist or Bridgestone. They just don’t seem to consistently spin as much around the green (<25yd). I know what the MGS test results say. I just can't replicate it. Other than that, they're as good as anything.

I do love my Maxfli’s. I use the CG alignment on the tee box as well as for putting. I’m not saying it helps me hit straight off the tee, but it couldn’t hurt. And I have been far straighter off the tee this year.

That’s pretty much a regular price. They DO go on sale from time to time. They had a “take $20 off $100 or more” and that brought the $109 down to $89. Then if you have any $10 or whatever credits…

My biggest complaint about DSG/GG is that their sales are perpetual but their coupon & promotion fine print excludes the evergreen “sale” price. I hate that I essentially have to become a Karen to argue that I should get $20 off of the price that never changes even though they claim its a special sale price exempt from promotions.

I always catch heat from my buddies or random for playing Maxfli (I play the tour x with the alignment aid), but they also have no idea how good of a ball it really is. I genuinely feel the same performance out of the Pro V1s that I will play from time to time.
