I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that there are golfers who swear off spiked golf shoes.
I enjoy the extra traction that an above-average spiked golf shoe provides but some golfers fall on the opposite side of the coin. Whether it’s because your balance feels slightly different or because spikes can tear up the greens if you’re not careful, there are real reasons to choose spikeless over spiked.
Lucky for you, we’ve found a handful of spikeless golf shoes that you should consider. As time has passed, more options have emerged that are built to serve golfers of every skill level.
If you hate spikes, these are the three spikeless golf shoes you need to know about.
adidas CODECHAOS 25

You’d be hard pressed to find a golf shoe fanatic who dislikes the adidas CODECHAOS 25.
Designer Kelly Kikuta is inching closer and closer to the Mount Rushmore of golf shoe design and the CODECHAOS line is his baby. Although adidas recently released the CODECHAOS 27, the CODECHAOS 25 remains one of the best spikeless golf shoes of all time.
The CODECHAOS 25 features LIGHTSTRIKE foam for increased stability while BOOST is designed to provide some of the best comfort the game has to offer. Dual-foam construction isn’t a brand-new concept, but when it’s done well, it works.
If you prioritize comfort without sacrificing performance, you won’t find much better than the CODECHAOS 25.
FootJoy Pro/SL

The FootJoy Pro/SL won Best Spikeless Golf Shoe in our 2026 Most Wanted Testing.
Testers labeled the Pro/SL “the best-fitting golf shoe on the planet.” If finding a consistent and comfortable fit is a common issue for you, the Pro/SL could be the answer. Beyond its excellent fit, a nylon plate in the forefoot makes the Pro/SL one of the most stable spikeless golf shoes your money can buy.
An added bonus: the Pro/SL is $185, making it one of FootJoy’s more affordable golf shoes.
Skechers Pure Sl

Ladies and gentlemen, grow up and stop hating on Skechers. They make a darn good golf shoe.
The Skechers Pure Sl is another winner, pairing the consistent comfort Skechers is known for with an exceptional $130 price tag. Add reliable waterproofing to the mix and it becomes a great option for golfers who regularly play in wet and muddy conditions.
Traction is the only real downside. Testers noted that powerful swingers may not get the traction they need from the Pure Sl.
Skechers has developed a reputation for being a turn-off aesthetically but the brand is making strides in the right direction. If you can meet them halfway, your feet will thank you.
