This Sweater is The Foundation of My Fall Golf and Non-Golf Wardrobe. Here’s How to Wear It.

Fall and winter are the seasons when your sweater does the talking. On the course, at the airport, at dinner, or at home, one well-fitted sweater can and should carry your whole look. Once again, the key is choosing something that’s well-fitted, looks high-quality, and is subtle enough to pair with just about anything, and comfortable enough to become the thing you reach for without thinking. This is about quiet refinement and looking like a golfer without screaming it. It’s about dressing in a way that suggests you take golf and style more seriously than the average guy. This is the sweater that does that and here’s how you can build a whole outfit around it.

Uniqlo Washable Milano Ribbed Sweater

You guys know how much I love this sweater. Worn by Adam Scott himself, the Uniqlo Washable Milano Ribbed Sweater is seriously the foundation of my golfing and non-golfing wardrobe. I own so many of these in various colors, but the one I always reach for is beige. As a neutral, it goes with so many different pieces, and just looks and feels great. Not to mention, these things fit great, too, and are washable. After numerous washes, these things completely hold their shape and feel like a warm hug every time you put them on. For less than $50, this sweater is a bargain, and as someone who owns sweaters from Peter Millar, Greyson, Brooks Brothers, and Polo Ralph Lauren, this one more than holds its weight, and is the one that I constantly go back to.

Brooks Brothers Friday Oxford Shirt

We all have enough golf polos, and look, we can’t golf every day, all the time. That’s why it’s so important to build a wardrobe that let’s us capture the essence of the game we love and keep things just as versatile off the course as we need to be on course. Another essential is the Brooks Brothers Friday Oxford. This is another piece that dominates my closet and wear religiously throughout all four seasons. I’m a snob when it comes to my Oxford cloth shirts, and this one from Brooks Brothers is my favorite. It looks just as good untucked as it does tucked in, and looks good wrinkled or pressed. Do yourself a favor, expand your wardrobe, add a bit of a maturity, and get yourself one or three of these. You won’t regret it.

Stitch Sterling 5 Pocket Pant

With a neutral sweater, some people may opt to pair it with a bolder colored pant. However, I love earth tones and pairing neutrals with other neutrals. It keeps things subtle without drawing attention, and it simply looks good. The Stitch Stitch Sterling 5 Pocket Pant is the perfect pant to pair your sweater with. These are comfortable, fit great, and can be worn in a variety of settings. I’m all about having a versatile wardrobe, and these can go from the office, to the course, to dinner, and beyond. As someone who hates slim fit pants but wants something that’s more of an athletic fit, these fit the bill. You can snag them for 30% off right now with code GIFTING.

TRUE Ascent PNWProof

I’m all about my wardrobe looking classic yet a little bit sporty, and the TRUE Ascent PNWProof definitely strike that balance. These are really unique looking, and if you’re someone who likes to have something that not many other people have, these are for you. They’re also versatile, and can be easily taken on and off course. Cool, comfy, and different. What more could you ask for?

L.L. Bean Men’s Bean’s Sherpa Vest

Golf’s an outdoor game, and there’s not a brand that is made for the outdoors more than L.L. Bean. The Men’s Bean Sherpa Vest is another fall/winter wardrobe essential of mine, and has served me well in so many different settings: the coast of Maine, the Hudson Valley, Catskills, and yes, on the golf course. It contrasts just enough with your sweater, and the green accents add that pop of color with the L.L. Bean logo drawing in the volt green accents from the TRUE shoes.
