There’s always something new in golf. New clubs, new apparel, new shoes, new bags and the occasional product that comes completely out of left field. Rather than cover every launch with a standalone story, This Week in Golf Gear is a quick look at the new releases, collaborations and products that caught our eye.

Ghost Golf Dogfight G-Suit Anyday 14-Way Stand Bag

Ghost makes some of the highest-quality golf bags in the game. Period.

Its bags aren’t always going to appeal to golfers who prefer something understated, but the new Dogfight G-Suit Anyday is one of the coolest-looking bags I’ve ever seen. The military-inspired graphics, green-and-black colorway and aviation detailing make it look like something pulled straight out of Top Gun.

Underneath the styling, you’re still getting Ghost’s familiar Anyday 14-way platform, which means excellent organization, plenty of storage and essentially no club tangle. It is a loud golf bag, but in this case, that is very much the point.

Titleist SM11 Black Vapor Wedges

I’m generally not a black-wedge guy, but I’ve made an exception here. The new SM11 Black Vapors look fantastic. The all-black finish gives Titleist’s familiar Vokey shape a much more aggressive look, and I’m all about it.

And with football season right around the corner, I can’t help but see the possibilities. Steelers fan? Excellent subtle wedge choice. West Point grad or Army fan? Same story. BEAT NAVY, by the way.

Even if you have absolutely no allegiance to black and gold, though, this is simply an excellent-looking version of one of golf’s most recognizable wedges.

Callaway Quantum Mini Spinner

We’ve already talked about the Quantum Mini Spinner in-depth, but it’s worth revisiting here because it’s one of the more interesting new fairway wood concepts of the year.

The entire premise is unusual. Rather than trying to make a fairway wood fly farther and spin less, Callaway designed the Mini Spinner to do the opposite: launch high, spin more and produce a shorter, more controlled flight. That makes it particularly interesting for golfers who want something easier to flight into greens or simply need a club to fill a very specific distance gap.

It’s certainly not going to be for everyone, but I appreciate that Callaway made something with a clearly defined purpose instead of another fairway wood designed for maximum distance. For the right player, the Mini Spinner could be an extremely useful club.

PING G740 Midnight Irons

Just like the Quantum Mini Spinner, we’ve already talked about the G740 Midnight irons, but we’re going to again because this is one of the best-looking versions of PING’s game-improvement irons that we’ve ever seen.

The blacked-out finish gives the G740 a much cleaner, more aggressive look without changing what the iron is actually trying to do: make the game easier. You still get the size, forgiveness and confidence-inspiring profile you’d expect from the standard G740, just in a package that looks substantially sharper.

Once again, black irons aren’t my thing, but I dig these. The Midnight finish gives an already solid iron a much more distinctive identity.

STUDENTS x PAYNTR PT Golf Shoes

PAYNTR’s latest collaboration with STUDENTS is definitely unique. The white, tan and brown colorway is very muted, which is a departure from what we’ve become accustomed to from STUDENTS. However, I’m a fan. If this is more of the direction that we’ll see going forward from STUDENTS, I can get behind it.

That being said, STUDENTS worked its identity throughout the shoe, from the graphics on the tongue and insole to the composition book-inspired outsole and brushed-steel lace charm. My favorite touch, though, is the pair of detachable magnetic ball markers incorporated into the design. You can even swap them out for another magnetic marker if you want.

There’s a lot happening here visually, but somehow it all works.

TaylorMade Hi-Toe 5 Wedges

TaylorMade has been making high-toe wedges since 2017, and the fifth generation is the first Hi-Toe to be fully forged.

The familiar shape is still here, along with full-face grooves designed to give golfers more versatility when they open the face or catch shots higher toward the toe. TaylorMade also added its newer saw-milled grooves and Spin Tread technology, which are designed to improve spin consistency, particularly when moisture gets involved.

There are also five grind options, so the Hi-Toe 5 covers a pretty wide range of swing types and playing conditions. I’ve always liked the look of a high-toe wedge, and the Aged Copper finish, a TaylorMade Hi-Toe staple, makes this one especially good-looking.

PING PLD Milled SE DZB Putter

The new PLD Milled SE DZB is essentially a greatest-hits compilation of PING putter design. It starts with an Anser-like foundation, then mixes in elements from the D66 and ZB, resulting in a wider blade with a flared high toe, rounded shaping and familiar heel-toe weighting.

The details are what really make it stand out. PING brought back the classic Redwood City cavity logo, added its newer Eye-Q alignment pill to the top rail and finished the fully milled carbon-steel head in a rich heritage patina with mint-green accents. The distressed leather headcover and matching green stitching complete the look.

It’s also the first blade to incorporate PING’s Eye-Q alignment technology. This is old-school PING blended with some of the brand’s newest putter ideas. It has all the makings of an instant classic.

Scotty Cameron Phantom 9.5R

This is the biggest putter release of the week.

The new Phantom 9.5R is already Tour-proven. Cameron Young switched into the 9.5R in 2025 and has since won multiple times with it, while Jackson Koivun won the 3M Open just one week after making the same switch.

The 9.5R itself is the rounded version of the Phantom 9, paired with a Jet neck that adds more face rotation than the 9.2R and considerably more than the near face-balanced 9R. It also gets Scotty Cameron’s full-face Studio Carbon Steel insert, which is designed to soften feel and improve distance control, plus a full-length sight line that I think suits the head perfectly.

At the end of the day, the 9.5R is less about being “better” than the other Phantom models and more about fitting a specific stroke. For golfers who want a modern mallet with some toe flow, this is one of the most compelling Scotty Cameron release in years.

Callaway Chrome Tour Suits Golf Balls

Who doesn’t need or love a limited-edition novelty golf ball?

Callaway’s Chrome Tour Suits balls feature playing-card-inspired graphics built around the four suits. They’re fun, distinctive and still give you the performance of the standard Chrome Tour. If you collect limited-edition balls or just want something different in the bag, these are fun.

PING Scottsdale TEC Putters

PING again? You bet.

The Scottsdale TEC lineup is expanding with two new models: the TEC Ketsch 4 and TEC Ally Blue H. The Ketsch 4 brings another familiar PING mallet shape into the TEC family, while the Ally Blue H gives golfers another option within the Ally Blue platform.

The broader Scottsdale TEC line has already given PING a strong foothold in the modern high-MOI, stability-focused putter space, and these two additions simply give golfers more shapes to choose from. If you like what PING is doing with the TEC lineup, there’s now an even better chance there’s a head shape that fits your eye.
