Titleist Unveils New T-Series Iron Lineup on Tour

It’s that time of year again, and since Titleist operates on predictable two-year cycles, that time is iron time.

Debuting at the Charles Schwab Challenge and the DP World Tour’s Soudal Open this week are the new T100, T150, T250, and T350 irons. T250U and U505 utility irons are also available to Tour players for the first time.

As is customary, Titleist describes this pre-launch phase as the “seeding and validation process.” The company is pointedly not using the “prototype” description because the reality is that the recipe is final, the irons are cooked, and from here until the official launch later this summer, they are what they’re going to be.

Per usual, Titleist isn’t saying exactly (or even hinting at) what’s new and different, but there are some obvious visual clues that things have changed.

From what we can see, the T100 and T150 irons remain true to their split cavity design heritage. Given that the T100 has been the most played iron on the PGA TOUR since 2019, you wouldn’t expect Titleist to deviate too much from their winning formula.

The more substantial changes appear to be with the T250 and T350 models. The plastic badges are gone (apparently) in favor of a more streamlined, dare I say, category-appropriate look.

They’re cleaner, more polished (though that doesn’t imply high polish), and visually more appealing.

More Than Meets the Eye?

Details about the under-the-hood improvements will have to wait, but as a guy who begrudgingly played Titleist T350s for the better part of the last two years, I’m intrigued by the upgraded aesthetics (and hopefully performance).

They look way better.

Likewise, Titleist’s utility offerings (T250U and U505) look cleaner and certainly won’t look out of place alongside the new irons.

More to Come

It will be another month (at least) before Titleist spills the tea, so for now, we’re stuck with what we can see.

What do you think about what you see?

Stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.

I guess my question is this: do I use an iron that has undergone three generations of subtle improvements ( T200 and T300) or do I jump to an untested first generation T250 or T350 simply because they look better. They look a lot like the TaylorMade P770 and P790. Took a few generations to get those to the level they are at now.

Without any disclosures, the T250 looks like a move to more traditional blades while conserving the spring like effect behind the face. I would be curious what is the off set as I prefer much less offset on my irons; and what does the leading edge look like on the 4-9; PW & Gap wedge. I like the Japanese rounded leading edge on these chipping tools, first exposed to their advantages playing
Hogan Apex II’s with the ‘scoop’ leading edge, playing all my golf at Muni’s with very poor grass conditions, a ball sitting down on a wedge shot, or around the green in someone divot, I was still very effective.

Im in the market for a new set of irons so I’ve been looking out for news on the new T100 and T150. The feedback I’ve read quite a number of times is the ‘Clicky’ sound/feel, so it will be interesting to see if new iterations are any different, especially as they look to compete with the Mizuno 243’s.

243’s definitely have a better feel then the current 150. I’m considering new irons next year and will look at the 150. If the reports are true they launch higher with more spin, I would consider that a positive.

I think they finally got the 200(250) right. They look amazing. I still game some T-MB’s at the top of my bag, and these look like they might finally take my 718 AP-2/T-MB Combo set out of the bag. At 50 now, I could see a 250/350 Combo in my bag. I can’t wait for a fitting. Also looks like they added another iteration of the AMT. Looks like it could be a Tour Black?

A closer look at the label reveals “ Silver” where the color is listed. Based on the positioning order, my guess is that it sits between the White and Black from a weight and launch perspective.

SOOO, The T250 and T350 just look cooler, don’t get me wrong I’ll get them as soon as they come out. I really wonder on how much improvement has been made. It’s definitely going to be tough to beat the previous model.
