I’ve tested a lot of golf shoes in my life. Dozens upon dozens.
TRUE Linkswear released its best shoe of all time, Jordan gave us the Grind and I even wore … toe shoes when the Peluva Apollo ended up on my desk.
A good golf shoe is your first line of defense when building the ideal golf setup. While the best overall can be found here, there are shoes that don’t make the list that can still be enjoyed.
When you’ve tested as many golf shoes as I have, you get to be picky. These may not be the best shoes on the planet but these are certainly shoes that I would buy again.
#3: Peluva Apollo Golf

I haven’t quite overcome my ego when it comes to the aesthetics of the Peluva Apollo golf shoes but if we’re strictly talking about performance, the Peluva Apollo had to be on my list.
If you’re in a similar boat and can’t overcome the toe-shoe look, I don’t blame you but you might be missing out on a more comfortable walk.
What I loved about the Peluva Apollo:
- The traction is above average. The traction pattern itself isn’t that impressive but I’ve concluded that being closer to the ground and having the ability to utilize all of your toes improves the traction overall.
- Comfort is king. The Peluva Apollo provides the best comfort I’ve ever experienced in a zero-drop golf shoe. If you want a zero-drop shoe but have struggled to find a comfortable walk, the Peluva Apollo is worth trying.
What I didn’t love about the Peluva Apollo:
- The waterproofing was poor. By hole nine, my feet were sopping wet.
- Since the Peluva Apollo is a minimalist shoe, you get less support than you would from traditional golf shoes.
- Extremely sweaty dogs. If you’re OK with your feet sweating a ton throughout your round, disregard these findings. If you would rather not deal with sweaty, sticky feet, steer clear.
The Peluva Apollo isn’t for everyone but it’s the best zero-drop golf shoe I’ve ever tested. Click the link below to view the full performance review.
#2: TRUE Linkswear Antigravity

I’ll be the first to admit that there are many pitfalls within TRUE’s golf shoe lineup. The brand has figured out almost everything aside from traction but it can’t seem to get that part right. The Antigravity falls into that category while the Antigravity Pro features some of the best traction TRUE offers.
What I loved about the Antigravity:
- The Antigravity features a PEBAX midsole that provides much more efficient energy return, resulting in a bouncier walk. I felt like I was wearing a pair of premium basketball shoes.
- The toe box is wide but not too wide.
- Premium breathability. If your feet sweat on the course and you can’t stand it, the Antigravity is the shoe for you.
What I didn’t love about the Antigravity:
- The traction. The Antigravity is below average while the Antigravity Pro is solid.
- Fatigue from heel striking. If you’re a heel striker, you may notice some fatigue after walking the course.
The Antigravity isn’t perfect but it’s the best spikeless golf shoe TRUE Linkswear has ever made. Click the link below to view the full performance review.
#1: NIKE Pegasus 1

My favorite shoe of 2026 is the NIKE Pegasus 1.
NIKE was all but out of the game for a while but has really turned up the temperature with the Victory Pro 4, the Victory Tour 4 and now the Pegasus 1.
What I loved about the Pegasus 1:
- The traction is sensational. Out of all the golf shoes I tested in 2026, the Pegasus 1 has some of the best.
- Its $170 price is incredible. When you take a look at the spiked golf shoe market, $170 is a steal for a top performer.
- The comfort is above average. There’s nothing too special about the comfort setup but a mix of Cushlon and ReactX creates a comfortable walk with increased energy return.
What I didn’t love about the Pegasus 1:
- The Pegasus 1 is stiff. The shoe is less malleable which can be a major downfall for some golfers. If you’re looking for a more flexible form of stability, the Pegasus 1 will struggle.
- The fit was fine but there was some heel slippage. If you’re prone to heel slippage or dislike it, it’s worth considering before copping a pair of Pegasus 1s.
I’d recommend the NIKE Pegasus 1 to golfers of all skill levels and I’m confidently naming it my favorite shoe that I tested in 2026. Click the link below to view the full performance review.
