YouTube Golf Power Rankings: Late June Update

We’ve been tracking the YouTube Golf Power Rankings for several months now and the leaderboard continues to evolve as more rounds are added to the Handicap Tracker database.

Here are the current top 10 players ranked by Handicap Tracker. The site monitors YouTube golf videos and calculates each player’s on-camera handicap.

  • Bryson DeChambeau (+9.9)
  • Jason Day (+8.7)
  • Brad Dalke (+7.0)
  • Nick Voke (+6.9)
  • Pavan Sagoo (+6.8)
  • George Bryan (+6.5)
  • James Nicholas (+6.4)
  • Josh Oddy (+6.4)
  • Jean-Philippe Mehu (+6.1)
  • Ryan Ruffels (+6.1)

The top of the leaderboard remains remarkably competitive. Just 0.9 handicap points separate fourth-ranked Nick Voke from the players tied for ninth, showing how quickly a single strong round can create movement in the rankings.

Erik Anders Lang

Representing Random Golf Club, Erik Anders Lang took on one of golf’s toughest challenges at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club.

Playing as a 5.8 handicap against a U.S. Open-style setup, Lang battled through one of the most demanding courses in the world and came away with an adjusted score of 1.8. The performance lowered his handicap to 4.4 and moved him up four spots on the leaderboard.

Gary Martin

Martin continued his strong run of form across a trio of Scottish courses.

A 2-under round at Eastwood Twelve and a controlled performance at East Renfrewshire Golf Club provided the biggest gains, helping lower his handicap to 0.7. He followed those results with another solid showing at Turnberry’s Ailsa Course.

Ashley Mullin

Mullin delivered one of the standout performances of the period at the Golf Supply U.S. Open event.

Taking on the Old Course at Trump International Scotland, he posted a strong adjusted score despite the demanding conditions and course setup. The result was good enough to secure the title and lower his handicap to 0.6.

Malosi Togisala

Togisala made a statement in a $1,000 match at Old Greenwood Golf Course.

He came out firing with a 1-under round and an adjusted differential that produced one of the better handicap improvements of the period. The performance moved him up three spots and reinforced his reputation as one of the toughest competitors in creator golf.

Mason Nutt

Nutt continued his latest run with strong performances at Streamsong Red and TPC Sawgrass.

A 1-over round at Streamsong helped improve his handicap to +1.9.

The ability to perform across very different styles of golf courses is becoming one of Nutt’s biggest strengths and helped him gain three positions on the leaderboard.

Garrett Clark

Clark delivered some of the lowest scores of the update.

Continuing his “Break 65 From Every Tee Box” challenge, he fired a remarkable 10-under round at Gentle Creek Country Club and followed it with another 5-under performance at Sunflower Hills.

Big John

Big John produced one of the surprises of the period.

Competing in a tournament at Grasslands Golf & Country Club, he posted a 5-under 67 against a competitive field and challenging setup.

Matt “Riggs” Ginella

Riggs gained two spots after taking on the legendary Tralee Golf Club during Fore Play’s trip to Ireland.

The raw score may not jump off the page but course difficulty plays a major role in the Handicap Tracker. On a course as challenging as Tralee, simply keeping things under control can create valuable movement.

Josh Rutherford

Rutherford continued his steady climb with a strong performance at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach.

Attempting to make the cut on a PGA Tour-caliber venue, he posted a 1-over round that helped improve his position on the leaderboard.

Rutherford gained two spots and now sits at a +2.4 handicap.

Carl Déman

Déman continued his pursuit of breaking 80 at Hills Golf & Sports Club. He posted a 5-over round from the forward tees that improved his standing and earned him another move up the leaderboard.

The progress may be gradual but the handicap continues to trend in the right direction.

Biggest handicap impact (single video)

The biggest handicap cut from a single video belonged to Erik Anders Lang after shooting 77 (+7) at Shinnecock Hills. The round produced a 0.7 reduction to his handicap and the largest single-video impact of the period.

Peter Finch followed with a 0.5 reduction after firing a 3-under 68 during his Northern Open series while Garrett Clark and Ashley Mullin also posted rounds that produced significant movement.
