About the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus Golf Driver

The TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus is a premium golf driver designed to provide golfers with ultimate distance, accuracy, and forgiveness. It replaces the previous model, the TaylorMade Stealth, and builds upon its success to deliver even better performance on the course.

The primary goal of the Stealth 2 Plus driver is to optimize launch and trajectory conditions while offering a low and forward center of gravity for fade and low spin characteristics. With its innovative design and advanced technology, the driver aims to help golfers achieve better consistency, accuracy, and overall performance.

TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus Golf Driver Technology and Features

The TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus driver features a 75% carbon construction, which allows for increased forgiveness and stability. This carbon composition enables more mass redistribution, leading to better overall performance.

The Stealth 2 Plus driver boasts an aerodynamically designed clubhead that reduces drag and promotes faster swing speeds. This design helps golfers generate more power and distance on their drives.

One of the standout features of the Stealth 2 Plus driver is its adjustable perimeter weighting. The driver has a 15g sliding weight track, allowing golfers to fine-tune their shot shape and trajectory. Additionally, the driver features a loft sleeve that lets players adjust the loft to their preference, further optimizing launch conditions.

The face of the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus driver features a unique Twist Face design, which helps correct off-center hits and promotes straighter shots. This technology enhances the driver’s forgiveness and reduces the impact of mishits on performance.

TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus Golf Driver Performance

The low and forward center of gravity in the Stealth 2 Plus driver promotes low spin and fade characteristics, which can benefit golfers who generate higher spin numbers. By reducing spin, the driver helps golfers achieve more distance on their drives.

The adjustable weighting system in the Stealth 2 Plus driver allows golfers to fine-tune their shot shape and trajectory. This feature can be particularly helpful for players who struggle with a specific shot shape, such as a slice or hook, as it can help correct those issues and promote a more consistent ball flight.

The increased carbon composition in the Stealth 2 Plus driver leads to greater forgiveness and stability. This means that the driver will still deliver consistent performance even if you don’t hit the sweet spot.

I was fitted into one of these, upgrading from an old ’07ish Burner. After about a month of trips to the range and weekend rounds of golf, today at the range a shot sounded funny – I looked, and the sole had cracked and popped open. I’d heard a lot of stories about these not being durable, but wasn’t expecting it to be this bad.

Update: same thing happened to the replacement, except on the course this time. It wasn’t even a bad shot, the head just shattered. I wouldn’t recommend this driver to anyone.
