ClicGear Model 8.0+ Golf Push Cart

9.3 overall

The Bottom Line

The 4-wheel design of the Model 8.0+ provides great stability, but makes it harder to manuever overall.

Pros

The Clicgear Model 8.0+ is very stable, and the wheel base is very wide to stop it from tipping on uneven ground.

Cons

The 4-wheel design makes this push cart harder to manuever and move. The turning radius is subpar as a result.

I had the CG 4.0, but wanted something a little more stable as I play on a course that has significant hills. The 4.0 is nice, but I love my 8.0. Another benefit of the 8.0, beyond stability, is it’s ease in collapsing for after the round, much easier than the 3.0 or 4.0. The 4.0’s relative complexity in folding was a nagging “con” for me, the 8.0 is super easy, and actually folds up smaller than the 4.0. That stated, I just converted my 4.0 to an “electric” with the Alphard V2, and added the 2 wheel front end. We’ll see how that works out. The 8.0 is a great trolly though.

I don’t get the criticism about manoeverability. If you need to turn a corner you lift the front wheels. Otherwise it’ll go straight ahead just like you normally want it to
