Amazon Finds: Golf Accessory Kit

The Problem

There are a lot of little items in golf that can easily be forgotten or lost. Not having some of them can negatively impact performance, course maintenance and even golf etiquette.

The Solution

The Uioolri Accessory Pack. This Amazon find will set you back $19.99 and includes all the little useful and necessary items to make sure you are well prepared for your next round.

How I Found It

Finding this was a bit of a happy accident. Recently, I have been doing my own club repairs and building some irons. I have purchased many items through Amazon.

As I was browsing, there was a list of accessories and random golf products which Amazon felt I would be interested in. They were right as this accessory pack had items I needed and wanted.

How It Works (or Doesn’t)

The accessory bag comes with three main items: a microfiber cloth, a divot tool with ball marker and a cleaning brush packed in a mesh bag.

Cleaning cloths and microfiber towels are what they are. This one is black which I like as it hides much of the dirt. I play in wet conditions a lot and my towels get used, washed and wear out quickly. The towel gets a pass for functionality.

Expectations for the brush were higher. I am a little obsessive about having clean clubs. The case, retractable cord and groove cleaner are huge bonuses for me. The steel and plastic bristles are important to clean clubs properly. This is another important item and also gets a solid pass plus bonus marks for added functionality.

Now to the divot tool. I go through these things almost as often as I go through golf balls. However, I still want them to work and function properly. This divot tool has a flip-out fork which stashes away so as to not poke you or put holes in your pocket. It has a nice solid feel and, when extended, there is very little play between the body and fork. The magnet for a ball marker is another positive. Another pass mark for form and function.

That is all the good and what works. Now to what doesn’t.

The ball marker is fine but it is too light. While it works with the magnet on the divot tool, it does slide around and could be easily lost.

The bag lasted about a day. Maybe I was a little too rough on it, but as I tried to stuff all the items back into it, the stitching tore and it is now in the trash. Not a deal breaker but a definite fail.

Bottom Line

This package offers a ton of value and all the little tools that are required for golfing. Not all the items are slam dunks but the main items perform well. Buying all this stuff individually could run you upwards of $60, but this package deal is about a third of that and still offers the functionality and equipment needed to be fully prepared for your next round of golf

Golf can be expensive but it doesn’t always have to be with an Amazon find like this.

Another feature I like on a divot repair tool is the ability to rest a club on it (e.g. a wedge) while you putt out. This one has that ability, many don’t.

This falls under the category of “my spouse/child/best friend just started playing golf & I wanted to hook them up”. For all you get, not a bad deal for $20.

From experience, it’s also in the category of “mom doesn’t play golf but thinks her golfing son wants this for Xmas.”
