Amazon Finds: Precision Golf Ball Marking Kit

The Problem: There are a million different ways to mark your golf ball: initials, dots, lines and whatever else you can think of. Having the proper markings on a golf ball can really help your game, especially when it comes to putting and off the tee. Some golf balls come with lines as part of their design but these might not be your personal preference.

The Solution: Precision Golf Ball Markers with alignment aids. These work on any golf ball and allow you to customize your golf ball with the markings you prefer in an effort to improve your game on the green and off the tee. With options from straight lines, swing path arrows and cross lines, you can ensure your ball has all the appropriate markings in the colors you prefer.

How I Found It: I have been given these in the past and they have always gotten lost or thrown out. After going through some struggles on the course, I went to find one, figuring I should finally take the time to put the proper lines on my golf ball. With a couple clicks on the keyboard, I was able to get a set from Amazon in less than 24 hours.

I should note that when searching for these, there were a lot of different results, options and brands. This set had good reviews from more than 600 customers, so it seemed like the best choice for less than $15.

How it worked (and didn’t): The Precision Golf Ball Marking Kit is pretty simple. I got four golf ball clamps with marking presets and four markers (black, blue, red, green).

The spring clamp makes it easy to apply markings to any golf ball without slippage. It is easy to adjust the ball to line up and allows you to put two sets of markings on the ball without having to grab another piece or move the ball around.

The clear gray plastic is also a nice touch (other colors are available). Being able to see some of the brand markings through the plastic allows the golfer to see where their lines will be in relation to the golf ball branding markings.

The top side of the ball has two main lines. One is longer and goes around roughly half the ball. The other is a cross line (does not directly intersect the long line) to form a “t”. This makes lining up putts a dream.

The other side or bottom side can be used for two functions. One is a smaller straight line that is much like the longer line on the top side but just shorter for those who don’t like the long line. The others are directional lines that help with off-the-tee swing path. Like a little “x” with arrows, when aligned properly, it can help the golfer visualize club path in order to help correct a slice or hook.

When I got these, I grabbed a couple of golf balls and started marking them up for putting. Unfortunately, the blue pen was completely dried out. The others were good quick-dry permanent markers that marked the balls easily without any mess.

Bottom Line: The Precision Golf Ball Marking kit works as it should, giving golfers plenty of variety and options in marking their ball with useful alignment lines for putting or tee shots.

Having spares in the pack is great and with four colors (although only three worked for me), you can ensure your golf ball is marked as you want it to be with color options which will set you apart from your playing partners.

I have this set. It seems to work pretty well. I have found that using regular “Sharpie” brand markers does a better job at marking the balls and does not wear off as fast as the markers that come with the set.

      Hi

When you go to the Link in Amazon it doesn’t bring up the same marker. The one it shows has parallel lines only!

I quite like the TridentAlign with accompanying ball marker which helps with putt alignment. It can be a bit ‘much’ though for some people.

Great for lines, but ‘markyourballs’ has the go to custom stencils.
