The golf skort is a staple in every woman golfer’s wardrobe and I’ll admit it, I hate the day it gets too cold to wear one. If you’re lucky enough to play through the winter, this is one you’ll want to keep on rotation.
I recently tried the Zero Restriction Dani Skort and while I’ve trusted ZR for their rain gear for decades, I was genuinely surprised by how good this skort is.
Created for the course
The Dani Skort is performance-driven without feeling technical. The stretch poly-Spandex knit fabric moves with you and the pull-on waistband keeps it comfortable from the first tee to the clubhouse. It’s moisture-wicking, breathable and offers UPF 50+ sun protection.

Details that actually matter
What sets this skort apart are the details.
The pockets are on the outside of the skort, not built into the shorts. You don’t have to lift the skort to reach your tees or ball marker.
Inside, the lined shorts feature gripper tape that keeps them perfectly in place. It’s a golf skort you never have to adjust during the round and that gave it bonus points from me.
Other options worth a look
Zero Restriction also makes the Sadie Skort, a slightly longer option that comes in a wider range of colors. I haven’t tested it yet but I’m hoping the Dani comes out in other colors and designs just like the Sadie.
I paired my Dani with the Shae Zip Mock, a piece I’ve been wearing for golf but could easily double for a run or errands.
If you’ve kept Zero Restriction in the “rain gear only” category of your mind like I did, it’s time to open the door to their skorts. You’ll likely be pleasantly surprised.
