Every golfer chases an ace.

Some of us have found one or two. A few of you have made a handful of them and we’re all insanely jealous. Can you spare a couple for those of us who have none?

There is something intoxicating about a hole-in-one. Skill is involved but so is luck. It’s the perfect shot in a game where perfection is rarely realized.

Most holes-in-one are told as stories in the clubhouse (where golf has a weird tradition of peer-pressuring the ace-maker into paying for everyone’s drinks). The rare few are captured on video for all of us to see.

In this article, I’m going to list the 10 best aces I’ve seen on YouTube golf. This excludes professional golf because those men and women are supposed to be good and most of them have many holes-in-one already.

Look for the “most replayed” area of each video to fast-forward to each hole-in-one.

10. Jimmy Elliott

Bryson DeChambeau recently made a hole-in-one over his house, which was a captivating challenge during a downtime on the golf calendar.

Then he invited a fan, Jimmy Elliott, to his house to try the same thing. DeChambeau put $100,000 on the line, giving Elliott seven hours to complete the challenge.

Well, Elliott only needed five shots. This was life-changing money and a great prize for a phenomenal shot.

9. Matt Fryer

How many aces are slam dunks? And how many of those are caught on video?

In this video, Matt Fryer walks us through his routine and then calmly hits a shot that never touches turf.

The reaction is muted but you can tell how much that shot means to him.

8. Zac Radford

This one gets bonus points for the picturesque mountains in the background—and for how long it took for the ball to find the bottom of the cup.

Playing at the Broadmoor in Colorado, Zac Radford played the slope perfectly on this 147-yard par-3. It was tracking the whole way and the reaction is so genuine.

7. Luke Kwon

Just on vibes alone, this ace by Luke Kwon is about as good as YouTube golf gets.

It wasn’t the longest shot in the world (110 yards) but Kwon hit this wedge crisply and then celebrated with dozens of fans surrounding the tee and green.

6. Joey Coldcuts

It’s hard to beat making an ace on the second hole of your round.

That is what Joey Coldcuts of Bob Does Sports did during this match that included Grant Horvat.

Bonus points for producing enough backspin to zip that ball into the hole despite the firm greens.

5. Matt Scharff

Scharff is somehow on this list three times. Must be nice.

This ace came on the famous par-3 15th hole at PGA National, the start of the Bear Trap finish at the course. Scharff made easy work of the daunting hole.

As usual, Good Good’s celebrations are electric.

4. George Bryan

Playing with the Bermuda crew of notable YouTubers, George Bryan made the perfect swing—all after coaching himself through his routine.

Bryan describes everything he wants to do in his swing. As the ball is the air, he claims he narrated his own hole-in-one. And he did.

Maybe we should all talk to ourselves like this?

3. Matt Scharff (Again!)

Sometimes you need to be really lucky to make an ace.

Scharff hits a decent enough tee shot here on a par-4 of over 300 yards but the bounce he receives is nothing short of heavenly.

This is a fun reaction as nobody knows whether it went in the hole until the Good Good group gets to the green and sees the evidence.

2. Robby Berger

The second time PGA National pops up on this list. This time, it’s “the greatest moment in Bob Does Sports history” as Robby Berger drained a tee shot on the par-3 fifth hole.

Everything about this video is incredible. The boys are eating salami just before Bobby Fairways tees off. With the promise of more salami coming, he then pures an iron shot to a tucked flag guarded by water.

The reaction and aftermath says it all.

1. Matt Scharff (One More Time!)

This gets the top spot for me because it’s a drivable par-4 and the reaction is hysterical. The two shots before this one were both on the green—one even hit the flagstick—but Scharff’s towering fairway wood shot found the bottom of the cup.

This shot took place in the meat of Good Good’s pandemic era rise so it’s a wonderfully nostalgic view. It’s been watched more than 5.3 million times.
