YouTube Golf Power Rankings: Mid-October Update

The latest YouTube Golf Power Rankings are in and there was plenty of movement over the past two weeks. Timmy Jordan made the biggest jump while Peter Finch and Cole Lantz each climbed seven spots.

The Handicap Tracker monitors scores from YouTube golf videos and calculates an on-camera handicap for each player.

Here are the current top 10.

  1. Bryson DeChambeau (+9.5)
  2. Jason Day (+8.7)
  3. Ian Poulter (+8.0)
  4. Brad Dalke (+7.5)
  5. Nick Voke (+7.3)
  6. Ryan Ruffels (+6.9)
  7. Pavan Sagoo (+6.8)
  8. Sean Walsh (+6.7)
  9. Chance Taylor (+6.4)
  10. James Nicholas (+6.2)

Timmy Jordan

Jordan made the biggest jump of the period, climbing eight spots to a +1.5 handicap.

He started with a 3-under round at Jameson Golf Links Portmarnock in Ireland, producing a 3.9-under adjusted differential. He followed that with an even-par round at County Louth that adjusted to 2.1-under.

Both rounds helped Jordan make his biggest move of the update.

Cole Lantz

Lantz shot 3-under at Falconhead Golf Club, producing a 5.5-under adjusted differential.

The performance moved him up seven positions and improved his handicap to +2.4. Lantz also recorded one of the biggest single-video handicap cuts of the period.

Peter Finch

Finch had several rounds contribute to a seven-spot jump.

He shot 3-under twice at Fairmont St Andrews’ Torrance Course with both rounds producing adjusted differentials of 4.8-under. He also shot 1-over at Toscana Country Club which adjusted to 1.2-under.

Despite a tougher round at Dooks Golf Links, Finch improved his handicap to +3.4.

Taco

Taco went 3-under through nine holes at Strawberry Farms Golf Club, producing a 5.1-under adjusted differential.

A more difficult round at Ananti Club followed but the earlier performance helped him gain five spots. Taco now sits at +3.8.

Luke Toomey

A 1-under round doesn’t always tell the whole story, especially on a difficult course.

Toomey shot 1-under at French Lick Resort’s Pete Dye Course, resulting in a 7.1-under adjusted differential. It was one of the best course-adjusted performances of this update.

Harry

Harry gained two positions despite a difficult round at Heron Country Club.

He shot 14-over, producing a 10.9 adjusted differential. The leaderboard movement was enough to move Harry up two spots, although his handicap remains at 12.8.

Mariano Di Vaio

Di Vaio didn’t post a new video score during this period but still gained two spots as the leaderboard changed around him.

His handicap remains at +3.1.

Mathias Johansson

Johansson shot 1-under at The National Lakes Course, producing a 4.5-under adjusted differential.

That performance helped him climb two positions and improve his handicap to +5.4.

Garrett Clark

Clark put together an impressive round against Fat Perez at Payne’s Valley.

He was 6-under through 15 holes, producing a 4.2-under adjusted differential. Clark gained two spots and moved to +4.1.

Hoyzie

Hoyzie’s pursuit of breaking 90 continued with two difficult rounds.

He was 11-over through eight holes at John O’Gaunt and 15-over through 17 holes at Centurion Club. Neither round produced a significant improvement to his handicap but he still gained one position as the rankings shifted.

Hoyzie now sits at 25.2.

Biggest handicap impact (single video)

Harry had the biggest single-video handicap cut of this update.

He shot 86 (+14) during The Tee’d Off Summer Major featuring W2S, reducing his handicap by 2.1 strokes.

Cole Lantz was next, cutting 0.7 from his handicap after shooting 69 (3-under) in his attempt to break 65.
