Stop Wasting Money: This is the Best Value Golf Ball of 2025

No surprises here.

The Kirkland Signature golf ball is the best value golf ball of 2025.

After countless hours on a golf swing robot testing 44 different golf ball models, here’s why the infamous Kirkland Signature Performance+ golf ball takes home the crown as the best bang-for-your-buck golf ball of the year.

Kirkland signature golf ball: best value golf ball 2025

There’s been a lot of talk about Kirkland golf balls in the past. The 2025 ball test presented by UNRL shows a different Kirkland than older versions: driver spin is no longer excessively high, and it offers notable height in some conditions with a urethane cover at a low price.

Greenside spin isn’t the highest, but its value case is hard to argue against.

Key Findings

  • Spin off the driver has come down significantly compared to past models
  • Urethane cover provides more consistent spin when wet
  • Price continues to be miles lower than similarly-constructed urethane balls

Who is it for?

✅ Buy if: you want real urethane performance at a warehouse price.
❌ Skip if: you need maximum wedge spin or a softer-than-average feel.

Got on my GC Quad, for reference I am a +3 and my buddy is a +4.7. I usually game the Bridgestone Tour BX (for this test I was using the 2024 version, not 26) and he usually games ProV1x. My driver swing speed on course is 117-120, and his is around 113. Both of us tried using the kirkland signature, 2025 ball and saw a noticeable downgrade in every metric. Not only did spin numbers on wedges drastically decrease, but spin on driver increased to an absurdly high number (2400 avg with BX and 2950 avg with Kirkland). Granted, both swing speeds are higher than average for a normal player, but not being able to attack pins on faster and firmer greens, as well as on shortsided chip shots, the kirkland tends to roll out more, so players have to be ridiculously more conservative with how they approach shots, which is not the most beneficial for players who need to get crafty around the greens.

I’m not sure you know what infamous means.

Just played 18 holes alternating between Maxfli Tour X and new Kirklands. Saw no appreciable difference in performance. My driver swing is slow(85-90) so I wouldn’t expect much difference. My buddy, who swings between 100 and 110 tried them on a four par 5’s against his Vice Pro Plus and saw a 10 yard positive distance on good swings and even on slightly poorer swings. Since 2 dozen cost as much as 1 dozen of the Vice, he’s switching.

I’m very intrigued by this particular version. Unfortunately, I didn’t find any this year and the season is winding down. There’s always next year.

You know, they’ll deliver them right to your house?

True! But they do have a sizable markup for shipping. And since I’m not sure I’m going to be able to get back out this year, I’ll wait until next season and just grab them in store. Good excuse to grab a chicken bake.
