Top 3 Affordable Spiked Golf Shoes

Spiked golf shoes are notably more expensive than spikeless but with that added cost come assorted benefits such as extra stability and traction. In our 2025 testing of 20 spiked models, most were priced at $180 or more. However, a few standout options deliver strong performance without breaking the bank. Here are the best affordable spiked golf shoes worth considering.

Skechers Go Golf Elite Vortex Rival

The Skechers Go Golf Elite Vortex Rival is the best option if you are looking for an affordable spiked golf shoe in 2025. While you might assume a shoe like this wins our “Best Value” category, it actually wins “Most Comfortable” because of the midsole and arch support.

Any time you look at affordable golf shoes, there will be a trade-off. With the Skechers Go Golf Elite Vortex, that tradeoff is traction. While the traction is not terrible, it was the least impressive performance attribute of the Elite Vortex Rival.

Buy this if:

You prioritize budget-friendly shoes that also bring performance to the table.

You know that comfort is important to you.

Don’t buy this if:

Traction is a key selling point for you.

Under Armour Drive Fade

The Under Armour Drive Fade is the best-value spiked golf shoe of 2025. It costs a few dollars more than the Elite Vortex Rival but for that extra money you get improved traction. The Drive Fade comes in three colors and features waterproof, breathable technology.

Testers did not love the UA HOVR cushioning and felt it didn’t offer as much comfort as the other shoes in the test.

Buy this if:

✅ You want great traction in an affordable golf shoe.

✅ Value is important to you, rated the Best Value Spiked Shoe of 2025.

Don’t buy this if:

❌ You have a wide foot. The overall fit is narrow so try these on before purchasing.

❌ Comfort is important to you. The foam midsole is solid but doesn’t match Skechers’s comfort.

New Balance Brighton V2

The New Balance Brighton V2 is another affordable spiked golf shoe. However, it was the lowest rated of these more affordable shoes. The Brighton V2 comes in black or white, has a two-year waterproof warranty and provides cushioning with its DynaSoft midsole.

With more of a sneaker look and not as much structure as other top spiked golf shoes, these New Balance shoes had a lower stability rating. This may not be the shoe for you if you take aggressive swings.

Buy this if:

✅ You want a lightweight and affordable golf shoe with basic styling.

✅ You need a waterproof golf shoe without paying a premium price.

Don’t buy this if:

❌ You are a fast-swinging golfer who needs extra traction.

❌ You want more style, design and color options.

One more option . . .

Sometimes, if you want to save money on spiked shoes, it’s worth looking back a year or two to see your choices. In this case, there is a really good choice. The FootJoy HyperFlex Carbon was the best spiked shoe of 2023.

It’s now on sale for $99.

The HyperFlex Carbon had superb traction and stability and it did not disappoint in the comfort department. If you don’t need the newest release, this is an option to consider.
