If you have always played COBRA golf clubs and want to add a few more in 2024, you are in the right place. We tested hundreds of golf clubs this year and pulled the top COBRA results from each test. If you are in the market for anything from a driver to a wedge manufactured by COBRA, these are the best COBRA golf clubs of 2024.
Drivers
COBRA had several drivers in the 2024 Best Golf Driver test. The best one was the Darkspeed LS which placed eighth overall out of 37 drivers.
The COBRA Darkspeed LS is a low-spin option that is surprisingly forgiving. It also scored well for distance and accuracy, making it a good all-around option for a wide range of amateur golfers.
COBRA Darkspeed X and COBRA Darkspeed Max did not perform as well. The Darkspeed X finished 16th and the Darkspeed Max 27th.
The X and the Max had decent forgiveness scores but could not compete in the distance category. It’s not uncommon to see this happen: As drivers get more consistent, they lose some distance. The problem is that something like the Darkspeed Max was about nine yards shorter on average than the best golf driver of 2024 (PING G430 MAX 10K).
When we divided the drivers into different swing speed categories, the COBRA Darkspeed X was the most accurate for high-swing speed players. For mid-swing speed players, the COBRA Darkspeed LS won third place overall. The COBRA drivers didn’t make the top 10 for lower-swing speed players.
Fairway woods
The COBRA Darkspeed X was eighth overall in the best fairway wood category for 2024 testing. Its stand-out feature is its distance capability which made it runner-up for best fairway wood for distance. However, the problem was the consistency or forgiveness of the COBRA Darkspeed X which pushed it outside the top five.
Results for the COBRA Darkspeed LS, LS+ and Max were not nearly as good as they all finished outside the top 20. The LS and LS+ are strong for distance performance but struggle with accuracy. The Max earned a top-five for forgiveness but was nearly last for distance.
The Darkspeed X is COBRA’s best option for amateur players in 2024.
Hybrids
The COBRA KING TEC is the third-best hybrid overall in 2024. It is a great option for golfers looking for all-around performance as it is in the top 10 for accuracy, distance and forgiveness.
The COBRA KING Tec’s adjustability makes it a good choice for golfers who are making changes to their game and need to tweak their equipment to match. Although the KING TEC was released in 2023, it’s still one of the best options you’ll find.
The COBRA Air-X finished 17th overall. It’s a club advertised as being forgiving and finished fifth for forgiveness. The COBRA Darkspeed was 20th overall but fifth for distance. COBRA Darkspeed ONE Length finished 22nd, second to last.
Irons
The COBRA King Tour was the fourth-best overall player’s iron in 2024. It was long and forgiving but didn’t have the same accuracy as the top iron in the test (TaylorMade P-7MC). For our player’s distance iron testing, we looked at the COBRA KING Forged Tec X.
This was one of the better-performing irons in 2024. In the player’s distance testing, an iron obviously needs to offer distance and the Forged Tec X demonstrated that throughout the test. It also had strong accuracy rankings.
One tester said the COBRA KING Forged Tec X was “subjectively appealing and insanely hot.”
The COBRA Darkspeed ONE Length was the fourth-best game-improvement iron in 2024. Its standout feature was distance and it finished in the middle of the pack for accuracy and forgiveness. The standard COBRA Darkspeed finished 11th out of 17. It did not have the same distance capability as the ONE Length.
Finally, in our super game-improvement test, we looked at the COBRA Air-X and the COBRA T-Rail. Neither earned a top-five performance. Again, both irons performed well for distance but couldn’t keep up with accuracy and forgiveness.
Wedges
The Snakebite X wedge was fourth overall in 2024. The accuracy and consistency of the Snakebite X were in the top five but it ranked 16th for spin. The COBRA Snakebite had much better spin performance but it was less accurate. Look at the weaknesses in your game and get fitted before you choose either of these wedges.
Driving irons
We tested 16 utility irons in 2024. The COBRA KING Tec Utility ONE Length finished last. Forgiveness was its best category and, even there, it finished second to last. The COBRA KING Tec Utility did a little better and finished 11th.
Putters
In the blade putter testing, the COBRA Grandsport-35 3D-printed putter took eighth place. It was very strong from 10 feet but struggled a bit on shorter putts. We also tested the COBRA Sport-40 Vintage which did not perform as well, especially on longer putts.
For mallets, the COBRA Cuda Vintage was the highest performer but still finished 19th out of 46 putters.
Final thoughts
The best clubs we saw from COBRA were the Darkspeed X driver for higher swing speeds, the COBRA KING TEC hybrid and the Forged Tec X player’s distance irons. Overall, we saw COBRA could compete in the distance sector with most of the clubs we tested. It just didn’t have the same accuracy we saw from some of the competitors.

60 yrs old, 6 handicap; Aerojet driver and 3wood w/ regular graphite, S3 Pro irons (circa 2011) regular graphite, Titelist wedges. Driver feels quite decent, 3 Wood is my favorite club. Irons feel great when I strike them well, and compare to many of today’s clubs, in my book. I hit them so well I can’t justify dropping $500-$1000 on something that might gain me 1-2 strokes….I can practice my putting and achieve that.
