Walking the golf course is great exercise and might even improve your golf game. However, it is also about a five-mile trek. To avoid spoiling a good walk, you need all the right accessories. Here are some recommendations for the best accessories for golfers who walk, from the perfect push cart to a great water bottle.
Clicgear 4.0 Push Cart

The Clicgear 4.0 Push Cart is one of our favorites. We put it through the best push cart test this year and it was the editors’ choice. The Clicgear 4.0 has a silicone bag strap and adjustable upper saddle to keep the bag in place.
In addition, the design is reliable and built for the serious player. While we are on the topic of accessories, you’ll find plenty that the Clicgear is compatible with. Some of these accessories include a seat, cooler, cup holder and a wheel cover to keep your trunk clean when transporting.
Callaway ORG 14 Golf Bag

The Callaway ORG 14 golf bag is our favorite cart bag for pushing. It was designed with Callaway’s Lowrider technology so it works well on golf carts or push carts. The ORG 14 has plenty of storage for everything you need and there are 14 dividers to protect your clubs. It’s not the lightest cart bag but if you have a good push cart, you won’t notice any extra weight.
WHOOP 4.0 Health and Fitness Tracker

While getting some exercise on the course, you may as well track it. Golfers like the WHOOP 4.0 Health and Fitness tracker because it will monitor things like calories burned and activity levels.
If you need some motivation to walk the course, let the WHOOP get you there. You can keep the WHOOP band on at night and monitor things like sleep, strain and recovery. Take a look at how those levels impact your next round of golf!
Therabody Theragun Mini

We can talk about how great walking is but there are downsides. Sometimes, you’ll hurt after walking 18 holes and when muscle soreness sets in, the Therabody Theragun Mini is a great option to consider. This compact and lightweight massage gun can help you recover quicker and perform better on the course.
STICK IT Magnetic Golf Towel

A great golf towel is important. The STICKIT magnetic towel can be attached to any metal surface and that most likely includes your push cart. Its microfiber material does a great job of cleaning your clubs. STICKIT comes in a few different colors so get one to match your bag.
Grooveit Brush

While we are on the subject of keeping golf club grooves clean, let’s not forget about a great golf club brush. The GrooveIt is one of our favorites. It easily attaches to a bag for quick cleaning of your clubs. The built-in water sprayer helps eliminate dirt. Just don’t forget to fill it before you head to the course.
Bag Boy Sand/Seed Bottle

Walking golfers should grab one of these portable sand/seed bottles that attach to the pushcart. If your course prefers you fill rather than replace divots, the Bag Boy Sand/seed Bottle is a must-have accessory for walkers.
Black Harp Golf Push Cart GPS/Phone Holder

A cheap but smart golf accessory to have while you walk the course is the Black Harp Golf Push Cart GPS/Phone Holder. The holder keeps your phone and GPS devices securely attached to the push cart at all times. If you use your phone for yardage, you’ll want to give this one a try.
Blue Tees Player Go Speaker

If you enjoy walking the course while listening to music, consider the Blue Tees Player Go Speaker. It has a magnetic mount, waterproof design and more than 16 hours of battery life.
Most importly the Blue Tees Go Speaker offers audible distances and auto recognizes more than 40,000 golf courses.
Blue Tees has other golf speakers but this one is light for walking golfers.
STRIPEBIRD Golf Bag Valuables Pouch

The STRIPEBIRD Golf Bag Valuables Pouch is a great option for keeping your phone, wallet and keys safe while you walk the course. If you are worried about separating your valuables throughout the bag, this waterproof pouch easily straps on and fits in or around any bag.
The STRIPEBIRD Valuables Pouch also has magnetic surfaces on the outside to use with your magnetic accessories.
YETI Yonder Water Bottle

Having a great water bottle is one of the most important of the best accessories for golfers who walk. However, if your daily water bottle is a little heavy or clunky, leave it at home. The YETI Yonder Water bottle is designed to be lightweight, durable and shatter-resistant. It comes in 750 mL or one-liter sizes.
Miady 2 Pack USB Portable Charger

If you are going to be on the course for a while, your phone may end up needing a recharge. The Miady 2 Pack USB Portable Charger is an affordable and easy way to grab a little extra charge when you need it. These are lightweight enough that putting both in your golf bag won’t weigh you down.
Bushnell Pro X3+ Rangefinder

Don’t add extra steps to your day on the course. Use the Bushnell Pro X3+ rangefinder to get a perfect yardage to the pin without looking for a sprinkler head.
The Bushnell Pro X3+ was voted our best golf rangefinder of 2024 thanks to its accuracy, speed, features and technology.
Titleist Tour Umbrella

The Titleist Tour Umbrella can protect you from the sun or rain. Attach this one to your push cart and use it on days when protection from the elements matters. However, umbrellas do add some weight so when you think the weather conditions are perfect, you may want to leave it behind.
Additional tips for walkers
In addition to the best accessories for golfers who walk, here are a few other tips to take with you for the next time you walk.
- Golf shoes: Invest in quality shoes for comfort over long distances. Depending on your preference, consider both spiked and spikeless options.
- Clothing: Choose lightweight, breathable fabrics for hot days and layer appropriately for cooler weather.
- Food: When you walk, bring some protein bars. You’ll be burning calories so it’s smart to have a backup food supply.
- Extra socks: If the weather is borderline, bring an extra pair of socks with you and switch the socks in the middle of the round. There’s are few things worse than squishing around in wet socks on the course.
- Don’t bring dozens of golf balls: Golf balls add a ton of weight to the bag. Take a look at what you have and keep about nine in the bag.

Branded Golf Umbrellas. One of the biggest grifts going. You can get a vented one at a Home Depot or any general purpose store for about $15. probably comes from the same factory in China as your Titleist/TaylorMade/Ping. Same thing for shirts and slacks. Don’t even get me started on bottled water.

Agreed. You can also get a pretty nice one at Costco too. I think mine was $20.
