Best Callaway Golf Clubs of 2024

If you are a Callaway player and want to remain brand-loyal in 2024, you are in the right place. We tested hundreds of golf clubs this year and pulled the top Callaway results from each of our tests. If you are in the market for anything from a driver to a wedge produced by Callaway, these are the best Callaway golf clubs of 2024.

Drivers

Callaway had a few drivers in the 2024 Best Golf Driver test. The best one was the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond. It took second overall, just ahead of the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Max D.

Where the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Max D thrives in distance, the Triple Diamond is a bit more versatile. It had some of the highest subjective scores in the test for looks, feel, sound and likelihood of purchase.

The AI Smoke Triple Diamond surprised us a bit because it’s a low-spin driver that was surprisingly forgiving. If you’ve previously written off the Triple Diamond Series as being for lower-handicap players, you may want to rethink that.

For high-swing speed golfers, the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Max D was again the best driver for distance. Testers were pleased with how long this club was despite its being considered a more forgiving draw-biased driver head.

The Paraydm Ai Smoke Triple Diamond was the best overall driver in the mid-swing speed test. For low-swing speed players, the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Max D was the runner-up.

Fairway woods

The Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond was the best overall fairway wood for 2024. It easily took the best for distance but also had very strong accuracy scores.

In addition to giving players better shot outcomes, the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond was also the best fairway wood for sound, feel and likelihood of purchase. It is a low-spin club so if you are a player with low spin rates, make sure to get fitted for the proper fairway wood.

Hybrids

If you’ve noticed, there is a theme in the 2024 Callaway golf clubs: distance.

The Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke hybrid was the best hybrid for distance in the 2024 test. Testers rated it as one of the best-feeling irons and the hybrid they would most likely purchase (feel and distance are a good combination).

The Ai Smoke hybrid’s forgiveness or consistency scores were not the best, pushing its overall rank down to 13th.

Irons

Continuing our distance theme, the Callaway Apex Pro irons won the best golf irons for distance in the 2024 Best Player’s Irons test. However, the accuracy scores were not great, pushing the Apex Pro out of the top 10. If you want a more accurate Callaway player’s iron, the Apex CB took third place for accuracy.

In the player’s distance iron category, the Callaway Paradym irons struggled, finishing 13th out of 18 irons. They could not compete in accuracy and forgiveness but placed third overall for distance.

For game-improvement irons, the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke HL and the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke finished ninth and 10th, respectively. The Smoke HL were very consistent (forgiving) but didn’t have the same distance performance we saw from other Callaway clubs in 2024.

Callaway Big Bertha irons were part of the super game-improvement irons test and they finished ninth overall and second for distance.

Wedges

We tested 26 wedges in our 2024 Best Golf Wedge test and the best from Callaway was the Opus Platinum in 17th place. The Opus Platinum’s consistency and spin could not compete with the PING S159, which took first place overall.

Driving irons

The Callaway Apex UT ranked third in the best utility irons test. It scored high in the forgiveness category, making it the most consistent utility iron for ball speed, carry distance, backspin and dispersion. Interestingly, the Apex UT didn’t rank as well in the distance category which was surprising considering Callaway clubs’ distance performance throughout the rest of the test.

Final thoughts

Callaway had some strong releases in 2024. The best performances are in the drivers and fairway woods. Callaway did a great job helping golfers get more distance off the tee in 2024.
