If you are a TaylorMade player and want to remain brand loyal in 2024, you are in the right place. We tested hundreds of golf clubs and pulled the top results for each category. Here are the best TaylorMade golf clubs of 2024.
Drivers
TaylorMade had a few drivers in the 2024 Best Golf Driver test. The only one to make the top five overall was the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus. This was the best golf driver of last year and it did well this year. The TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus has come down in price so if you can find one in your specs, it’s a good buy.
The TaylorMade Qi10 LS won the best overall golf driver for the high swing speed golfer despite finishing outside the top five in the overall best driver test.
The Qi10 LS has high rankings for accuracy and distance. It struggled a bit with forgiveness or consistency of shot outcomes. It’s a better driver for a lower-handicap player.
The Stealth 2 Plus placed second in the Best Golf Driver for Mid-Swing Speeds test. It was beaten by the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond. However, the Stealth 2 Plus was the best driver for distance in that test.
For low swing speed golfers, the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus took fourth place with no other TaylorMade drivers breaking into the top five.
Aside from the Qi10 LS for the faster swingers, the 2023 Stealth 2 Plus performance stole the show for TaylorMade drivers.
Fairway Woods
The TaylorMade Qi10 took third place overall in the 2024 Best Fairway Wood testing. What helped the Qi10 move to the top of the results was its performance in accuracy and distance. While it wasn’t the most forgiving of fairway woods, it’s a well-rounded club that testers liked. One tester said, “Performance is reliable and consistent.”
In addition to the solid performance of the TaylorMade Qi10, the TaylorMade Qi10 Max was the best fairway wood for accuracy.
Hybrids
The TaylorMade Qi10 was the runner-up for the best golf hybrid of 2024. It was accurate and long with its worst performance being forgiveness.
The Qi10 offered effortless distance and the fact that testers still had shots landing close to their target speaks volumes about the club’s design. Accuracy and distance don’t always go hand in hand. If you are testing new hybrids in 2024, this one should be on the list to try.
Irons
We divide our golf iron testing into four categories: player’s irons, player’s distance irons, game-improvement and super-game-improvement. The TaylorMade P-7MC took first place overall for the best player’s irons of 2024. Not only were they the most accurate but they were also ranked very high for forgiveness.
The P-7MC are among the worst for distance but that is to be expected with this type of performance in a player’s iron. Most golfers shopping for player’s irons are looking for accuracy.
In the player’s distance iron category, the TaylorMade P-770 23′ was the most forgiving in the test. Again, it is not a winner when it comes to distance but it is one of the highest-rated irons by our testing pool for looks and feel as well. If you want reliable shot outcomes, it’s a good choice.
In the game-improvement category, the TaylorMade Qi10 finished seventh. It struggled with consistency, pushing its finish position down. The TaylorMade Qi10 HL took fifth place in the super game-improvement test.
Wedges
The TaylorMade Milled Grind 4 wedge is the runner-up for best overall wedge of 2024. It had good all-around performance for distance control, spin and consistency. It was the second-best wedge overall for accuracy so if you are looking to save strokes, this would be one to try.
Over the last few years, we have gotten used to seeing the Milled Grind wedges at the top of our testing results and the Milled Grind 4 is no exception.
Driving Irons
Utility irons were not TaylorMade’s strong point this year. The TaylorMade P-UDI finished eighth out of 16 utility or driving irons tested. Forgiveness and accuracy were not as strong as the competition’s.
Putters
The TaylorMade TP Reserve TR-B11 had strong results from the 10-foot range, helping it earn a fourth-best finish in the Best Blade Putter test. The TaylorMade Spider Tour V3 took eighth place in the Best Mallet Putter test. It was strong from five feet and 20 feet but struggled from 10.
Final thoughts
TaylorMade had some strong performers in 2024, specifically in the fairway wood, hybrid and player’s irons categories. If you’re a TaylorMade player, there are plenty of choices in 2024. As always, we suggest a club fitting to ensure your brand loyalty is also helping your golf game move forward.
