FootJoy HyperFlex Carbon (Best overall spiked FootJoy)

The FootJoy HyperFlex Carbon was the best overall spiked FootJoy shoe of 2024. It didn’t win any specific categories in our overall testing but if you look at its features such as stability, traction and the ability to keep your foot dry in wet conditions, it excels.

The FootJoy HyperFlex Carbon easily earns a top five in the 26 pairs of spiked golf shoes we tested.

Overall Score: 96

FootJoy Tour Alpha (Best for stability)

The FootJoy Tour Alpha scored just a quarter of a point less than the HyperFlex Carbon. This is the most stable of all the spiked shoes we tested.

If you are looking for traction and stability in a golf shoe, you’ll find it here. However, don’t be surprised if this is not the most comfortable of the FootJoy shoe lineup. It’s built for performance, not necessarily for comfort.

Overall Score: 95.75

FootJoy Premier Field LX (Good for traction and stability)

The FootJoy Premier Field LX finished just outside the top 10 and was the lowest-performing FootJoy spiked shoe. You’ll find great traction and stability here (that’s a theme throughout all FootJoy shoes).

The Premier Field LX didn’t hold up as well in wet conditions and it’s also not known for being overly comfortable.

Overall Score: 94.25

FootJoy Pro SLX Carbon (Most stable spikeless/Best overall FootJoy spikeless)

FootJoy Pro/SLX Boa golf shoes

The FootJoy Pro/SLX Carbon is the most stable spikeless golf shoe of 2024. It’s also the highest-ranking FootJoy spikeless shoe. If you need stability, the carbon-fiber X-wing technology provides torsional support.

The traction held up well in any condition.

The only problem with the Pro/SLX is that it is slightly less flexible and more firm than other spikeless shoes, making it a little less comfortable than we hoped.

Overall Score: 94.25

FootJoy Fuel Sport (Great all-weather spikeless)

The FootJoy Fuel Sport ranked higher than any other FootJoy spikeless shoe for its ability to stay dry. The Fuel Sport is relatively comfortable. The category where it lost some points was stability. It’s not as stable as the Pro/SLX Carbon.

Overall Score: 93.25

FootJoy Prolite (Runner-up)

The FootJoy Prolite wasn’t as great as the Pro SLX Carbon for stability and traction but it was better for comfort. Overall, it’s a very lightweight and comfortable golf shoe that could be good for the golfer on a budget.

You’ll have an easier time finding sales on the Prolite which is often well under $100.

Overall Score: 92.5

FootJoy Quantum (Most comfortable)

The Quantum didn’t make it into our 2024 testing. It’s a new release, but we have tested it, and it’s the most comfortable FootJoy golf shoe we have found.

The Quantum is a shoe you’ll want to wear all day (on and off the golf course). The new SofFOAM technology helps the Quantum feel soft yet resilient with a good amount of rebound. This is a shoe for walkers who are tired of having sore feet at the end of a round.
