Top 3 Longest Hybrids 2024

As important as accuracy is with a hybrid, distance is hard to give up on. If you are struggling to get distance in that gap between the last iron in your bag and your fairway wood or driver, these are the top three best hybrids for distance. As we go through these top picks, make sure you are considering the impacts that extra distance has on accuracy and forgiveness. Sometimes, the tradeoff is worth it, but for some players, it’s not.

Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke

Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke hybrid review

Who Is It For?

✅ Players who need more distance. The best hybrid for distance in 2024.

Golfers who care about feel, sound and looks. One of the highest-rated hybrids for subjective appeal.

Who Is It Not For?

❌ Anyone who needs more forgiveness. We look at forgiveness as the consistency a club provides. If you want predictable and consistent outcomes, this isn’t the hybrid for you.

Why Buy

The Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke is the longest hybrid of 2024. If you are struggling to get the distance you need with your long irons, take them out and replace them with the Paradym Ai Smoke. You’ll see significantly improved distance.

Another great thing is that it’s adjustable. If you want something that provides a custom feel, you’ll like the adjustability. Testers loved the look, feel and sound of the Paradym Ai Smoke hybrid. It received very high scores across all of the subjective feedback categories.

One tester said, “Definitely long off the face and subjectively appealing.”

The Paradym Ai Smoke hybrid loses some points for forgiveness and accuracy. This didn’t come as too much of a surprise, considering the relationship between distance and accuracy in golf equipment.

TaylorMade Qi10

TaylorMade Qi10 Hybrid review

Who Is It For?

Someone looking for extra yardage. The TaylorMade Qi10 irons offer effortless distance for the average golfer.

The golfer who wants accuracy. Distance and accuracy don’t always go together. With the TaylorMade Qi10, you’ll get both.

Who Is It Not For?

Players looking for consistency. Like the Callaway, the extra distance in the TaylorMade Qi10 makes it less forgiving.

Anyone who wants adjustability. Some testers were disappointed that the clubhead was not adjustable.

Why Buy

The second-longest hybrid of 2024 is the TaylorMade Qi10. It offers effortless distance off the face. One tester said, “It was more stable throughout my swing than other hybrids, which allowed me to have more confidence. The good strikes are outstanding.”

TaylorMade continues to put out hybrids that offer easy distance off the face. Perhaps what is most impressive about the TaylorMade Qi10 is that it also ranks as the second-best hybrid for accuracy. A combination of accuracy and distance is hard to find in any golf club.

The Qi10’s consistency is not the best so we can’t say it’s a forgiving hybrid. Some testers also expressed concern that it’s not adjustable. However, if you want distance and accuracy, you can find them both.

Cleveland Halo XL

Who Is It For?

✅ Someone looking for distance from anywhere. The Cleveland Halo XL helps the ball jump off the clubface regardless of the lie.

The golfer who values accuracy. Although not the best hybrid for accuracy, the Cleveland Halo XL finished above average in Strokes Gained.

Who Is It Not For?

❌ Players worried about forgiveness. The two Cleveland hybrids in our 2024 Best Hybrid testing were the least forgiving (consistent) of the bunch.

❌ Golfers who want a sleek-looking clubhead. The Halo XL has a more confidence-inspiring look than a sleek or slim clubhead.

Why Buy

The Cleveland Halo XL ranked ninth overall in the 2024 best hybrid testing but third for distance. Testers felt the Halo was hot off the face, making it easy to produce distance.

Accuracy for the Halo XL wasn’t terrible, finishing seventh and in the top half of the test results. However, it is the second-to-last hybrid for forgiveness so you won’t get consistent results.

If you’re a Cleveland fan, we also tested the Cleveland Halo XL Hy-Wood. This is a large hybrid head, kind of a combination of a hybrid and a fairway wood. The distance and accuracy forgiveness scores were much worse with the Hy-Wood.

Score: 8.7

Good concise commentary on a wide group of clubs. Appreciate the knowledge and seemingly unbiased opinions. As I’m an amateur (13 handicap), some of the details are beyond me, but I bet many people want to hear those details

I game the xxio hybrids and they really are something. I have an average swing speed.. average handicap… probably average personality…. And I get great “pop” from these hybrids. They are a tiny bit lighter than the pings so maybe that gets a little more swing speed but I think the face is hot. I’m glad they were listed on this review to at least consider.
