These New Limited-Edition 4th of July Putter Grips Are A Little Bit Rock ‘N’ Roll, A Little Bit Country

Nothing says Happy 250th Birthday, America quite like a red, white and blue putter grip.

Well, sort of.

In the spirit of our nation’s Semiquincentennial, both Golf Pride and SuperStroke are coming out with limited-edition red, white and blue themed putter grips.

Which one is right for you? Depends on if you’re into rock ‘n’ roll or country.

The SuperStroke Red-White-and-Blue Tie-Dye grip

This one is perfect for the patriotic Grateful Dead fan in your life.

SuperStroke is always on point with its limited-edition putter grips and this one is no different. It features a very Grateful Dead-ish tie-dyed red, white and blue design that SuperStroke says is “both timeless and contemporary. It’s national pride with a dash of “Truckin’” thrown in for good measure.

Not only does this grip celebrate the 4th of July but it also ties into the 61st anniversary of the debut of The Warlocks (the Dead’s original name) and the 31st anniversary of the Dead’s very last concert with Jerry which happened 4th of July weekend 1995 at Soldier Field in Chicago. The surviving members reunited 20 years later at Soldier Field, also on the 4th of July weekend.

I seriously hope SuperStroke knew all this when they planned this release. I’m not sure if they did but I really want it to be true.

(Folks, you can scour the worldwide web but this kind of golf-adjacent Grateful Dead content can only be found here at MyGolfSpy. You’re welcome.)

The SuperStroke Red, White and Blue Tie-Dye Zenergy putter grips go on sale on June 29 on the SuperStroke website. They’ll be available in Pistol 2.0 and Tour 2.0 models and will sell for $39.99.

Golf Pride limited-edition Stars and Stripes Zero Taper putter grip

If the Dead aren’t your cup of scarlet begonias, you might like the more traditionally patriotic Star and Stripes Zero Taper putter from Golf Pride.

It wouldn’t call it rock ‘n’ roll, but if you want to celebrate the 4th and the 250th with your putter grip, this one will do quite nicely. And if you’re into celebrations, Golf Pride says the grip also honors its 77th year of American craftsmanship and design.

The red, white and blue colorway features waving American flag artwork and large USA lettering. Golf Pride introduced the Zero Taper grip in February and the Stars and Stripes model is the first limited-edition grip in that franchise.

It’s on sale now at www.GolfPride.com.  It also sells for $39.99.
