Top 3 Most Comfortable Spiked Golf Shoes

The terms “spikeless” and “comfort” often go hand in hand. However, spiked golf shoes don’t typically have that same association with comfort. In our 2024 testing, we paid particular attention to three pairs of spiked golf shoes that stood out for their comfort: the Skechers Go Golf Blade GF, Payntr Tour Proto RS and the Skechers Torque Sport 2. If your goal is to have traction, stability and comfort, you’ll find it here.

Skechers Go Golf Blade GF

Who Is It For?

✅ Someone looking for more comfort without losing traction. This one is lightweight and comfortable but won’t have you slipping and sliding.

The golfer who plays in the morning. The water-resistant technology is built to handle the morning dew.

Who Is It Not For?

❌ Anyone who plays in harsh weather conditions – these are not fully waterproof spiked shoes.

❌ Players who don’t like a slip-in design and prefer the look and feel of a more traditional shoe.

Why Buy

The top three most comfortable golf shoes are tied with the same score for comfort: 44.5 out of a possible 45 points.

With the Skechers Go Golf Blade GF, you benefit from a water-resistant design that protects against light moisture and morning dew, making this shoe a good choice for walking. It’s also really easy to get on and off with the slip-in design. (Not common on a spiked golf shoe.)

Score: 44.5

PAYNTR X Tour Proto RS

Who Is It For?

Someone looking for more traction and comfort. One of the best all-around shoes of 2024; earned a runner-up finish.

Players who like the traditional leather feel. The leather upper is nicely made, which is a top comment from the testers.

Who Is It Not For?

❌ Players looking for a budget-friendly golf shoe; it’s not the cheapest spiked shoe on the list.

❌ For golfers who need stability, the shoe’s base is a little more flexible than stable.

Why Buy

With the PAYNTR X Tour Proto RS, we noticed impressive stability throughout the swing. The shoe has an Ortholite insole that helps keep moisture buildup to a minimum. This shoe has a high-rebound EVA midsole that offers cushioning and energy return.

Of the three most comfortable spiked golf shoes, the PAYNTR Tour Proto RS has the highest overall finish (runner-up) in the 2024 Spiked Golf Shoe test.

Score: 44.5

Skechers Torque Sport 2

Who Is It For?

Golfers who play in the rain. You’ll get affordable waterproof protection from this shoe.

Players who need durability. These are easy to take care of and easy to clean.

Who Is It Not For?

❌ Anyone looking for premium leather golf shoe technology.

❌ Golfers who need the most stable shoes.

Why Buy

As you may have noticed, Skechers spiked shoes are known for comfort. One of the main benefits of this Skechers Torque Sport 2 is the waterproof protection.

This shoe also features the ULTRA Go Cushioning which provides lightweight comfort. The Skechers Torque Sport 2 is easy to clean and durable.

The Sketchers Torque Sport 2 checks the boxes for affordability, comfort and durability while still being a waterproof golf shoe. While the Skechers Torque Sport 2 did well overall in the 2024 testing, it fell slightly behind because of its stability.

Score: 44.5

Paynter golf shoes start at size 9. They don’t make anything smaller and I need a size 7

Check out FootVille shoes for a comfortable fit. I have extra-wide feet and have had difficulties finding footware the fits and is comfortable. This MFG has sizes up to extra wide. In addition it has a wider toe area for comfort. Give it a review

I have Ecco or Nike tw and they are so comfortable!!! I bought a pair of the sketchers golf shoes and really did not like them. I think maybe they were to wide for my feet.

When I checked the online sites; PGA Superstore and Golf Galaxy neither site had wide width shoes. Do you know where you can find your top 3 in wide?

Not denying that the Sketchers are super comfortable but have you tried wearing them for 20+ rounds? They don’t last. And that’s not just my opinion, I know at least friends who bought some, loved them at first but they did not last
