Top 5 Drivers of 2025 Golfers Are Most Likely To Buy

If you ask us, the only way to purchase golf equipment is to look at what performs and choose something based on performance. However, that doesn’t mean we ignore sound, feel and looks completely in our testing. We asked every tester of the 37 drivers in our 2025 test to rate each club for sound, feel, looks and likelihood of purchase. These are the top five drivers golfers are most likely to purchase in 2025, along with their performance comparisons.

Callaway Elyte

Testers described the Elyte as balanced, forgiving and incredibly consistent. It had the highest average score for purchase intent in the test and it was also a well-rounded club when it came to testing results.

The Callaway Elyte performs well in actual play, particularly in terms of forgiveness and accuracy. While it’s not quite as dominant as the Triple Diamond or the DS-Adapt Max K in raw distance, it’s still a well-balanced choice.

With no top-three performances in any category, the Callaway Elyte probably didn’t get the attention it deserved in the 2025 test. It’s still a great option that amateur golfers should consider testing.

COBRA DS-Adapt X

Testers loved the feel and appearance of the DS-Adapt X and it tied for second in purchase intent. One of the comments was that it felt like one of the fastest and most confidence-inspiring drivers in the test.

Despite testers loving the DS-Adapt X, its overall performance was right in the middle of the pack. It’s forgiving and playable but it wasn’t the best driver of 2025. COBRA did a good job helping golfers gain some confidence with this club in their hands but the performance results weren’t the same as the DS-Adapt Max K.

COBRA DS-Adapt Max K

The COBRA DS-Adapt Max K is a great driver if you want strong performance and the feel to match. Testers loved this club, as it tied for second in purchase intent, and it was also a great performer for ball speed and distance.

It’s one of the drivers where you can say it performs as well as it feels. The looks of the DS-Adapt Max K were not as highly rated, with some testers noting it looked a little bulky behind the ball.

Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond

The Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond was the best overall driver of 2025 and it also was one of the drivers golfers were most likely to purchase. It had strong accuracy and distance performance and testers loved the workability, feedback and clean profile.

Forgiveness is something you’ll need to dial in with a lower-spinning model like the Elyte Triple Diamond. While some golfers had no trouble with it, others did. Go for a fitting to see what’s best for you.

Titleist GT3

The Titleist GT3 squeezed in a top-10 performance in the 2025 Best Driver testing.

It’s a strong distance and accuracy performer and testers loved how it looked and felt. Forgiveness is a touch behind some of the other top models but it’s still a strong choice if you are looking for a traditional look with lots of power.

One tester said the GT3 just looked “right” at address.

Final thoughts

It’s important to find the right blend of objective performance and subjective feel when choosing a golf driver. These five drivers ranked highest in purchase intent prove that sound, looks and feel matter to golfers, but they don’t always tell the full story. Some of the most-loved clubs didn’t top the performance charts, and some top performers flew under the radar. Remember: the most important thing you’ll need on the course is results.

The Elyte Triple Diamond Max is the best of the core Elyte and Triple Diamond combined. It is a great option for anyone looking for TD features along with a little forgiveness.
