Sometimes getting to the range just isn’t feasible. And, with the steadily increasing prices of range balls, it’s no longer economical.
That’s where golf nets save the day. Whether you place one in your garage or backyard, the best golf nets give you something priceless: the ability to practice for free.
Think of a golf net as an investment. Once your initial debt has been paid in full, you’re left with a fantastic practice tool to use how, when and where you please.
Let’s put an end to $13 buckets of range balls. Here’s what you need to know to buy a new golf net.
Here are a few things to consider when choosing a golf net
Golf nets generally aren’t cheap. Neither are range balls. The best value golf net for 2023 is the Rukket Haack Lite for less than $100. A few twilight practice sessions in the backyard is all you need to get your money’s worth.
Are you going to use your golf net indoors or outdoors? Some golf nets include stakes to keep them secure in your yard. Others feature weighted bases that work great both indoors and outdoors.
Consider the size of your space and your needs. A larger net provides more safety against errant shots while a smaller net is suitable for compact spaces where every inch counts.

The only thing standing between you and a broken window or angry spouse is your golf net. It had better be darned durable. Not only should the netting be durable enough to handle Bryson DeChambeau-esque ball speeds but the frame should be just as strong.
The most durable golf nets are made by Net Return. The Home Series and Pro Series golf nets have exceptionally strong frames and tight netting that catches anything and everything. The GoSports Elite is another solid option.
Just as a golf net should be durable, it must be stable. Stability is different from durability. In the case of a golf net, stability refers to the net’s ability to withstand golf shots and even wind without tipping over or falling down.
If you plan on using your golf net outdoors, this is extremely important. The GoSports Elite golf hitting net has a weighted base that prevents it from tipping over.
While not the primary factor you should consider when choosing a golf net, the ability to set it up or take it down quickly and easily is important.
By far the most efficient setup process belongs to the Spornia SPG 8 XL. This net folds up like a disc and requires the use of only two poles to set up. The Rukket Haack Lite proved very easy to set up as well.
World-class testing requires world-class equipment. This is the gear we trust to help us fulfill our Most Wanted testing.

There’s a clear difference between a customer that is going to frequently need to set the net up and another that is going to set the net up and leave it long term. I purchased a net return during the times of the pandemic and I have nothing but great things to say about it. It’s durable, stable, and well made. I set the net up once each year in the spring and take it down late fall. It stores well and set up only takes 10 minutes or so. If you’re looking for a net that your going to set up and leave up I don’t think there’s a better option.

Save your money. None of these can withstand a full swing.

Base that opinion on what? I have a Rukket Pro. After 6 months of constant use the net is finally breaking down. Yes, it can handle full swings. Even full swings with driver.

I don’t know what this imposter Jimmy is talking about. I’ve had the Spornia 7 for 2+ years and it’s still going strong. I don’t know what he considers to be a full swing, but my driver ball speeds are ~165mph.
