✅ Golfers who struggle with consistency on short putts. For 45 percent of the testing pool, the Key West was the best overall putter from five feet. Very consistent on short putts.

❌ Anyone who struggles with longer putts: The Meridian Key West ranks towards the bottom overall from 20 feet.
❌ Players who want a harsh feel off the face: Testers described the Meridian as being soft or even sometimes “dead” off the face of the putter.

Making short putts matters and the Meridian Key West is designed to ensure you can make short putts more consistently. The testing pool found consistent results from 5 feet with the Key West. It doesn’t do as well on longer putts.
From 20 feet, it was one of our worst performers but it performs reasonably well at 10 feet.

Who Is It Not For?
❌ Players looking for subjective appeal: The Zebra Milled Series 002 ranks towards the bottom for sound, feel, looks and the likelihood of purchase.
❌ Anyone looking for a smoother feel off the face: Several testers referred to the putter as being clicky and hot off the face.

The Zebra Milled Series 002 is not just one of the best mallet putters from five feet. It also finished in the top 10 for the best mallet putters of 2024. It performs really well (third) from 20 feet as well. The performance from 10 feet is ranked 11th.
Out of 46 putters tested, the Zebra Milled Series 002 is right up there in seveth place.
Most testers’ problems with the Zebra Milled Series 002 were not based on performance but on subjective appeal. It was one of the lowest-rated mallet putters in the 2024 testing for looks, sound and feel.

❌ Players on a budget: One of the more premium-priced options in the 2024 Best Blade Putters test.
❌ Golfers who need help from 20 feet: The ER2 is average at best from the 20-foot mark when compared to other blade putters.

❌ Players worried about longer putts: From both 10 and 20 feet, the Meridian Putters Charleston is an average performer.
❌ Golfers who want a more defined alignment aid. Testers said the alignment line was too subtle.
Why Buy
Did you notice one of the other best putters for golfers who miss short putts was also a Meridian? The Meridian putters are new to our testing but they showed they have some performance to offer on these shorter putts.
The problem with both Meridian putters on this list is their performance on longer putts. One tester said, “For me, the feel is too soft. It makes it difficult to tell how hard I am hitting the ball, especially on longer putts.”
