There is more attention than ever focused on the golf ball. It’s also true that there are more golf ball brands and options than ever.
Most major manufacturers offer at least three urethane-covered options and many of the upstart direct-to-consumer brands have at least two.
The point is, you’ve got a lot to choose from. That makes us exceptionally curious about the golf balls you’re choosing to play.
This 2023 iteration of our Golf Ball Survey is an opportunity for us to learn about your buying (and playing) habits. In addition to taking the survey, feel free to share additional thoughts on all things golf ball in the comment section.
Oh … for those of you who have been asking, yes, we are planning another robot ball test. It’s going to be the biggest one we’ve ever done. We’ll have more information as we get closer.
Until then …

Big fan of the new 2023 Srixon Z Star XV. Switched from the Pro V1. I did a golf ball fitting/testing on trackman (with reflective dot) and I fit my ball from the green back. While it may be slightly clicks for me, the results were great. I needed to increase my low-mid irons spin (5-7). I need a little more spin to hold greens easier. Pro V1x spun a little to much and had more side spin on mis hits. Star XV was 10,000 +/- 500rpm on 54 and 58 degree wedge. near 6000 on half wedge 40yd shots and 5800 ish on my 7 iron. I was only around 4500 with the Pro v1 so there was room for improvement. For me the srizon was less skinny off the driver than a prov1x, longer and more spin off mid irons, and near the same distance wise around the green as pro 1 with a touch more spin. I was impressed with 2023 Srizon Star XV.

Forgot to add. I’m 5’11, 225lbs, 96-100mph swing speed and play Accra iSteel Shafts in my irons which are slightly more on the lower spin side of shafts. great feel though.
