A Kaleidoscope of Colors Awaits You With The TaylorMade mySpider ZT designer

TaylorMade just added the mySpider ZT to their successful MyProgram putter personalization system. Prior to this new program, the zero-torque Spider ZT was available in either the stock blue and black color scheme or a blacked-out version.

If you wished for more color options, the mySpider ZT designer will turn all of your technicolor Spider daydreams into realities.

Previous mySpider designers have pushed the color-options envelope but not to this extent.

There are so many color choices, and other build choices as well, that allow you to create a Spider ZT that truly fits your aesthetic.

What options are we talking about?

For starters, you can build your mySpider ZT as either a standard-length putter or a longer counterbalanced putter. If you go with the counterbalanced putter, the price jumps from $549.99 to $599.99.

There is some function to go with the frills. To make your putter a better fit for your stroke, both putter lengths have lie angle options. The standard length mySpider ZT can be built with a lie angle of 68, 70 (stock), 72 or 74 degrees. The counterbalance version has three lie angle options: 70, 72 and 74 degrees.

The standard-length mySpider ZT can be ordered between 32 and 37 inches with the counterbalance length range being 36 and 38.5 inches.

In addition, you will be able to choose from multiple new alignment options. Some of them include the familiar milled front edge lines of the stock Spider. Others will be applied to an unlined front section.

It’s really about the colors

All of the structural elements are useful and will help the putter to fit your physical needs. However, if you are shopping for a mySpider ZT, my guess is that you’ll be more interested in the color choices.

Boy, oh boy, there are a lot of color options.

You have three options for the front of the body and 11 for the back of the body. There are 15 sole plate colors and 20 paint fill colors.

There are 10 PureRoll Surlyn insert colors, five grip options and six options for shaft color.

That last one is a fun one. You could pick the basic black steel shaft but there are also six different colored graphite shaft choices. Graphite shafts are available in black, silver, white, olive green, maroon and rainbow.

Since the black color is in steel and graphite, that really means there are seven shafts to choose from.

Stop reading and start building

Rather than me telling you more about the new mySpider ZT putters, why don’t you head over to TaylorMade and build one for yourself?

Once you do, please report back with your build plan. I’d love to hear about what you have come up with, especially if there is a cool story behind the design.

Expect to see a Sun Devil-inspired mySpider in my bag very soon.

If you need some additional inspiration, here is a gallery showing some of the possibilities.
