Cobra Zero Limit vs. Cobra S2?

Last week we released some undercover photos of the new Cobra Zero Limit Driver which seemed to be a hit from all the comments and emails we received. Cobra really is underrated when it comes to their drivers. They produce a quality head year in and year out. Lots of the emails were talking about how you are really liking the simplistic color scheme and look of the Zero Limit.

Introducing The Cobra S2 Driver! (Which do you like better?)

Well yesterday we received some a spy shot of yet another new driver which will be released by Cobra. This one is called the Cobra S2 Driver and it ships out in Feburary 2010! So tell us what you think. Do you like the Cobra S2 or the Zero Limit better?

I play the Cobra Speed Pro D 9.5 driver with the stiff BY-You shaft. It is probable the most consistant Long driver I.ve ever used. Just purchasedt the S2 9.5 – Stiff Fit On Max after trying it and a ZL. Hope it goes as good on the course as it did on the range.. By the way the S2 irons are fantastic.

I have a 460SZ and have since it come out i keep wanting to upgrade but dont seem to find anything as long or as easy to use. I hope these two drivers can change that because i want a new one not sure which i’ll end up with though. Does one hit the ball higher than the other ie weighting etc

I spoke with the Cobra rep and was told the S-2 was more along the line of the S9 and the ZL was for golfers that liked the Lv5 line. According to him the S-2 is for people that like to work the ball and the ZL is for people that need a “more forgiving” driver.

Yes, I like/love Cobra drivers also. I went through their entire line SZ 400, F 460, HS 9, L4V, etc.
BUT THE BEST DRIVER OF ALL TIME IS MY SS430 Unlimited. It’s a non-conforming .860+ COR hot, hot, hot, that blows away all of the new stuff.
Yes, the current models may be a bit more foregiving, but not as long. I reshafted with a fuji zcom 6 and it is by far the longest driver out there !!!!!!

Ali – I will give you that one. That was and still is one of the longest drivers ever.

I had my Titleist/Cobra rep come today and show me the S2 and it looks good in the pic but looks a whole lot better for real. Great driver and great performance

I really prefer the look of the Zero Limit driver as compared to the S2. Seems like every time I look at the S2 I see something similar to an Alpha driver.

WIll hit it on the head. The first thing I thought when I saw the S2 is “here is Acushnet using the Titleist 909D design in order to introduce a new driver for Cobra.” However, I still think it’s an amazingly good looking driver. The Zero Limit driver is really clean and attractive too. I’m very interested to see how both drivers perform.

All that I know is that I have yet to it a Cobra that can out perform the X-Speed ProD. They may look nice…but performance tells all.

I think I like the Zero Limit best….but both look awesome!

      I’ve had SS350, LD M Speed OS, LD F Speed & L5V.

I thought the L5V was the best ever…….we’ll have to see.

i would have to say i like the S2 more than the zero limit…the S2 looks more appealing but maybe thats just because the zero limit had basically no eye appeal except for what looked to be some carbon fiber…S2 is the clear winner for me

I like the S2 better. The all-black look appeals to me more. I think that the ZL driver looks a little bit cleaner, and I’d need to see more views of this one to see if I like the overall design versus the shape of it.
