Boxto x Jack Nicklaus: Hecho en México

Have you heard of Boxto?

They’re an up-and-coming golf shoe brand hell-bent on making shoes from the best material money can buy. Boxto shoes are handcrafted in Mexico from real leather. Trust me when I say that the glue and leather smell wafting from a Boxto shoebox is perfection.

(Oh, you don’t sniff your shoes? Just me?)

Boxto teamed up with the Nicklaus Companies to release a special collaboration. The collection features two premium models, the Legacy Pro (pictured here) and the even more premium Heritage Malaga.

I’m not saying these are too pretty to wear. But I am saying they’d look mighty fine in a display case. In any case, the Legacy Pro is the more “wearable” of the two. It’s got a lightweight EVA midsole (I will say they’re still fairly heavy compared to non-leather golf shoes), a responsive polyurethane (PU) insole and a TPU outsole for abrasion resistance and torsional support.

But let’s face it, the coolest part about the Boxto x Jack Nicklaus Legacy Pro isn’t the performance attributes, it’s that shiny Golden Bear emblem and Nicklaus signature peeping through that translucent TPU sole.

Whether you rock this pair to the course or designate them as “for my eyes only” and leave them in the box, the Boxto x Jack Nicklaus Legacy Pro and Heritage Malaga should be on your wishlist if you want something that takes premium up a notch.

When I say the leather is buttery soft, I mean it. Something about that Mexican leather gives these shoes some attitude and flair that I love.

You can shop the entire collection now at Boxto.

I would wear them but probably wouldn’t drop $250 or $450 on them.
