I can hardly scroll my Instagram feed without seeing a pair of Pluto Golf P1s on some course I’ll never get to play.
And that’s a good thing.
Especially if you’re Pluto Golf.
Because how else do you break into a market dominated by legacy brands like FootJoy and sportswear giants like NIKE and adidas?
Whatever the strategy is for the young California brand, it’s working. This week, Pluto Golf is gearing up to launch the sequel to the P1.

Fittingly dubbed the P2, it pairs a familiar look with some new tech, including SoftSpikes traction, which should translate to better performance on the course.
The P2 pays homage to a host of iconic sneakers with design cues woven into every piece of the shoe. It’s as much a tribute to streetwear as it is to golf culture and that’s what I love about it so freakin’ much.

It’s certainly not the golf shoe for everyone. But it’s undoubtedly the golf shoe for the golfer who makes sneaker contact before eye contact. Because for some of us, what’s in the bag doesn’t matter nearly as much as what’s on our feet.
