Edel Golf takes putter fitting very seriously. For years, they have offered unparalleled putter component options. From the older VariLoft line to the more recent EAS putter line, Edel Golf fitting carts have always contained more components than their competitors—by a large margin.

When Edel Golf announced their new Array putter line, it surprised not a soul that these new putters are once again modular in design. Also not surprising is that the main story of the Array putter line is custom fitting.
Key Elements of the Edel Golf Array Putter Line

“Modularity” is the buzzword for the Edel Golf Array putter line. Truthfully, Edel Golf has owned the modular putter realm for a couple of decades.
That doesn’t mean the Array putter line does modular like its predecessors.
The following options are available in the Edel Golf Array putter line:
- One blade design
- Three mallet designs (RH and LH)
- Four neck options for the blade and mallets
- Two alignment options for the blade and six for the mallets
- Five sole weight options providing a 50-gram weight range
- Four grip choices
- Tour Lock Opti-Vibe Weighting System internal shaft weighting options
Do you really need all those options? If you are hoping to get a putter built to your exact needs, choices can only enhance the fitting process and bring your putter closer to optimum performance.
Buying an Edel Golf putter is like buying fitted trousers instead of grabbing a pair off the rack.
Exploring the Edel Golf Array Putter Models
Of the four models, the B-1 blade is the least interesting. That sounds harsh but it is not the blade’s fault. The B-1 is a great-looking wide blade and its adjustable weights and hosels set it apart from similar models from other companies.

The B-1 is just not as interesting as the Array mallets. All of the Array models have modular neck and weight options but the B-1 has only two alignment options compared to the six in the mallet designs.
Correcting aim bias is the primary thing I associate with Edel Golf putter fitting. In this arena, the Array mallets truly shine. Like we saw with the Edel Golf EAS putter line, the Array mallets feature alignment cassettes that can be changed to address a golfer’s natural aim biases.

Having gone through Edel Golf fittings twice, I can attest that changing the lines on top of the putter does change where you aim it. Not just side to side but up and down as well. The Edel Golf EAS fitting process was enlightening.
I expect the fitting process for the new Edel Golf Array putter line to be the same. Our own Chris Nickel was recently fitted for an Array putter. Look for his report soon.
Final Thoughts on the Edel Golf Array Putter Line

Though it is just my opinion, I think the alignment system in this new Array putter line looks way better than the analogous system in the previous EAS line. The alignment component integrates better in the Array putter head. It looks right whereas, in the EAS line, the alignment insert did not visually mesh with the head.
Undoubtedly, the EAS alignment element worked but looked odd. I have every confidence that the alignment element will work in the Array putter models as well while looking way better. Checking both the looks and play boxes is a big achievement in my book.

The Array putter line continues Edel Golf’s commitment to putter fitting. The complexity of their designs ensure that a trained Edel Golf fitter can truly dial in a putter for the individual golfer. Getting fitted for one of these is key. You could buy all of the components and figure out your ideal build by yourself through trial and error, but that just seems silly.

FAQ: Edel Golf Array Putter Line
How much does an Edel putter fitting cost?
Great question and one that I don’t have an answer for. My guess is that it varies by location and may vary if you buy the putter or not. Best bet is to click the link above and reach out to the fitter nearest you to get the exact cost.
What are these putters made of?
The Edel Golf Array putters are prime examples of multi-material construction. The faces are carbon steel, the screws are stainless steel and the flanges and alignment components are aluminum.
Can you buy the individual components?
Yes. If you want to tinker with your Array mallet, you can purchase alignment plates and necks separately. You can swap everything with a standard Torx wrench.
Do these putters feature any assistive technologies?
I would characterize the whole fitting process as “assistive.” That said, the new face design (so long, pixel face) is marketed as corrective for distance on heel and toe strikes.
