MyGolfSpy would like to congratulate July 2012’s “MyGolfSpy Forum Member of the Month”, gkatshoots69.
Our July selection is sure to ruffle some feathers, but isn’t that part of what MyGolfSpy is all about? We believe in having an opinion, and that as long as you’re reasonably polite and respectful towards your fellow readers, you should speak your mind too…even if what you have to say comes from what we might call the less popular perspective.
From the day we launched the Forum Member of the Month award we’ve said that we’re not simply going to give it to the guy (or gal) who starts the most threads, or comments the most on other’s posts. We think the award should go to someone who has done something to generate real conversation, and by extension, grow our community. We’ve always believed that we’d eventually pick a winner largely off the strength of a single thread. This month, we’re doing just that.
If you look through our archives over the last month, apart from a major contest announcement, no single post has generated more visits and more conversation that gkatshoots69’s bold admission that He Doesn’t Like Bubba Watson. While not all of us agree with his opinion, or the reasons for it, we respect gkatshoots69 right to an alternative viewpoint, and we’re certainly glad he was bold enough to share it.
