By winning last week’s American Express, Nick Dunlap became the first amateur since Phil Mickelson (1991) to win on the PGA Tour.
The Alabama sophomore is now exempt on the PGA Tour through 2026 and receives an invite to the Masters, among other Major tournaments. While Dunlap’s amateur status stops him from collecting the massive payday from winning the American Express, his NIL deal with adidas is turning out to be fruitful for both him and the Brand with Three Stripes.
While many will rightfully focus on Dunlap’s TaylorMade-heavy bag of clubs, I’m more interested in his footwear. By virtue of his NIL deal with adidas, Dunlap is rocking the ZG23, the brand’s current flagship spiked model.
The lightweight ZG23 features LIGHTSTRIKE cushion that’s both responsive and comfortable, a balance that’s hard to achieve. The ZG23 performed admirably in our testing, boasting a top-5 finish in our Most Wanted Spiked Shoe test.
You can pick up Nick Dunlap’s winning adidas ZG23 golf shoes now.

Some day, Dunlap will wonder how he could have picked a shirt that ugly for his historic round and all the media exposure which followed.
