They Just Keep Getting Craz-er
Back when the original Ping Craz-E hit the scene about 5 years ago…it took a crazy 8% of the putter market share in only 5 months! Pretty big number considering all the different choices golfers have when it comes to picking their new 3-putt kryptonite weapon.
Back then MOI was only really mentioned in drivers…but…Ping brought more attention to the importance of it in putters with the Craz-E line-up. Well now they have a new Craz-putter and this one is called the Ping Craz-D. So we will have to wait and see if they go as Craz-E over these as they did the original.
Coming…June 2009
The new Ping Craz-D putter will be in stores around June 1st…but you can pre-book order them if your too Craz-E (we had to) to wait.
The Benefits (aka: Marketing Jargon)
- New JAS putter designed for enhanced stability and high MOI
- Utilizes high density bronze outer body along with light weight urethane center body to distribute weight around the perimeter of the putter.
- Lightweight PowerMetal insert for increased performance
- Lightweight urethane insert coated using a nano-nickel technology process
- Generates exceptional feel while keeping weight around the perimeter of the face for stability
- New multi-tired alignment system helps make sure you are properly set up over the ball, while the two semi-circular aids, which have the radius of a golf ball, assist in proper alignment.

It’s as ugly as putters can get, however I’ve bought one and it’s just amazing: it puts like it’s laser-guided, which gives me full confidence. I used to play with a classic putter (Ping Anser), but it does not even come close tot the Craz-d. SO: nevermind the looks :o)
