Srixon has 6 New Drivers on the USGA List

In a display of bulk force that would make even Callaway blush, Srixon had 6…SIX new driver heads added to the USGA’s conforming clubs list this week.

Look at all those drivers jokes aside, the probability is that only 3 of the 6 will make it to retail, and frankly, as manufacturers fine tune offerings to better match specific individual swing characteristics, three seems like a reasonable-enough number. Maybe it’s actually under-sizing the lineup. Either way, I’m certainly not going to panic.

No word yet on a release data, – though fall seems like a decent estimate – or even which models will make the final cut, but here’s a quick look at what the USGA just cleared. Maybe you can pick out specific differences.

Apart from weight count and positions there not a lot that differentiates the drivers. That said, is there anything that stands out…anything that appeals to you?

I see difference in score lines and face real estate but the latter could be me. My guess is material thickness and internal structure to be the differences.

Srixon does make extremely good equipment. Played Mizuno for 5 years and tried Srixon. Srixon got them out of the bag. F45 3wood is hot! Waiting on the 745 driver to come in. #745 irons.

That sucks. I feel for people I don’t even know when I hear news like that.
I worked as a surgical nurse for 25 years.
There is never a slowdown of sick people ,or people who push the envelope just enough to see me in surgery.

The 545 is a really, really good driver. I’d like to try one of these when they eventually come out.

If they can get me the 165 ball speed I got with the Z545 but give me straight ball flight like my G30, they’ll have a winner!!!!

Took my G30 to a custom fitter and was fit with a Matrix Radix S (I forget the #) .75 inches short and I won’t be looking for a new driver anytime soon! Longer and straighter than I was with it stock and as most people know it was pretty dang good stock.

Every driver will get you the ball speed, it’s spin that’s the question. Try a King LTD

no one driver will go above a certain C.O.R. they all have hot faces and when hit in the center of the club face and all other things being equal they will have the same ball speed.

Looks like the Limited Drivers are Glued, and not adjustable. This smells like 2 new retail drivers, Replacements for the 745 and 545 i would guess…..

Personally I like the limited prototypes the most. I suspect the main differences will be in head shape. 565 is probably a shallower face with lower COG to aid flight while the 765s are probably feep facer lower spinning.

What about Calaway they are no better. Or would you rather play titleist who lies to people saying everyone should play there Pro V ball .
Then we have Nike who were using sweatshop kids to make there clothing line, and paying athletes millions from the profit.
Just some of the brands I stay clear of.
