The best combination of distance and accuracy in the Qi35 lineup
With a score of 9.2 for distance and 8.6 for accuracy, the Qi35 did quite well for anyone looking to hit a long drive that ends up near the target. With a total distance average of 250.07 yards across all testers, the Qi35 earned 11th place overall in distance.
Ball speed matters to you
TaylorMade is sticking with the carbon face technology to help retain ball speed. In our 2025 driver testing, the Qi35 ranked second overall in ball speed. TaylorMade improved its carbon face’s stability and bonding process in the Qi35 lineup. The refinements are supposed to enhance durability and consistency.
Moderate to high spin is what your game needs
The average spin rate from the Qi35 was 2,630 RPM, which is a good choice for golfers who need a balance of control and carry distance.
One thing to note here is that the Qi35 LS had almost the same average spin rate, even though it’s supposed to be the lower spin model.
If you want a true lower spin driver, you’ll have to look at something more like the Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond.
You’ll play around with adjustable weighting
The Qi35 has two adjustable weights that help with fine-tuning the launch and shot shape. In the weight-back position, TaylorMade claims dispersion is 13% tighter than it was in the Qi10. In the weight-forward position, the club provides five additional yards of distance when compared to the Qi10. If you like to play around with driver adjustability and shot shape, it’s a good club to consider.
Reasons to skip
The titanium face is a better fit for your game
The carbon face driver is not for everyone. Testers noted the muted sound and feel compared to titanium drivers. It’s not necessarily good or bad; it’s just a noticeable difference.
You are looking for forgiveness in a driver
The TaylorMade Qi35‘s weakest performance category was forgiveness. We measure forgiveness by looking at consistency. It’s not the most consistent driver we tested for carry distance and dispersion. With a ranking of 22nd for forgiveness, you may look at something like the PING G440 LST or the PING G440 SFT.

It’s a mid-spin driver with some of the best ball speeds in the 2025 driver test. The main reason to stay away would be forgiveness. It’s the metric that hurts the overall finish of the Qi35. This one is worth trying for consistent players looking to maximize ball speed and accuracy.

Hi i have resently purchased a new taylormade Qi35 Driver. I still have my sim 2 max driver, which i love looking for more distance but found the Qi35 realy flat not much distance. hit my sim 2 max approx 180 t0 200 mtrs but yhe Qi35 130 t0 150 mtrs tryed all shafts from shorter regular to stiff no difference very dissapointed . i was wondering if i have purchased a dud if that makes and sence.
