Testers Wanted – Honma Beres 2-Star Driver

Honma Beres is all about lightweight luxury designed for low- to medium-swing speed players with very deep pockets. Pricing for a Beres driver can range from a low end of $850 for a 2-Star driver all the way up to $4,500 for a 5-Star driver.

Though the 2-Star is ironically considered “entry-level” by Beres (it did finish third in this year’s Most Wanted Super Game Improvement Iron testing), the line goes up to 3-, 4- and 5-Star levels. Just so we’re clear, a full bag of 5-Star Honma Beres wares will set you back roughly $70,000.

With all of that said, we’d like to get feedback from MyGolfSpy readers.

I play to a 9 handicap and without a doubt, am in the “sweetspot” in terms of swing speed for this Driver. Would love to try it!

I would really like to to test any good “left handed” set of irons in lightweight stiff shafts ,toward players irons category ,and give good descriptions on how it would behave at the range and on the course .
      I am a 9 HDCP .

I play Honma irons and have one of their older drivers. Their clubs are always of high quality. I would love to test to see if the driver is a match for me.

People were wetting themselves over the price of PXG when those first came out. They’ll be bloody well apoplectic at the $70K price tag of a full bag of 5- star Honma Beres !

I’m a 75 yr old senior golfer with a 18..5 index hitting a Taylor Made M4. Have actually owned a set of Honma clubs years back but gravitated to the “big brands” over past decade. Would love to test out the Beres 2-Star driver.

I read on MSG website that the best way to get selected for tests is to be an active member and, to increase your chances of winning, you need to donate to them. I really hope I read that last part wrong, because it would soil how I feel about this website.
