Distance is probably the least important metric pros use in playing a ball. Consistency, spin, durability are much more important in the ball decision than is distance which is pretty much the same for the your level balls.

How about the Champions Tour? Can MGS have some write about their equipment and golf ball usage? Most of us seniors spend a lot of money and time on golf, it would be nice to know about the Champions Tour. However, I understand it’s not sexy like those younger players who crush the ball 300+ yards.

Its a ball. If the longest player hit all of the tour balls his distance between them would be minimal

How many on the list are paid to play the brand of ball you list?
I know TM pays Rory a lot of money to play their equipment and ball!

I like how close those players are in distance, and the fact they use different drivers. With all the modern equipment they should start measuring every drive as the rankings would change. In hindsight, I remember back when Daly was the big thing (and unlike today where in a three some there will be all three over 300 yards long and the longest 6 yards ahead) I saw Daly hit 300 yards in a three some and the next two were 30 yards behind him.

Do a side-by-side comparison with players’ ages as well. My guess is that’s more telling than what ball is being played.
