This Bridgestone x Redvanly Collab Makes Us Go Both Ooh and Hmm

Sometimes collaborations between golf brands and apparel/lifestyle brands make a ton of sense and produce something really cool.

Other times, you just wonder.

This is one of those times. Sort of.

Bridgestone Golf is the king of golf ball collaborations, and it’s teaming up with apparel brand Redvanly on a ball collaboration that is, in fact, fairly cool, especially if you’re a Redvanly fan.

The other half of the collaboration is, well …

Let’s just call it interesting.

Bridgestone x Redvanly Collab: What’s going on here?

Redvanly is one of those apparel brands you see in your daily social media scrolls. Its roots go back to 2013 when co-founder Andrew Redvanly left his job at an ad agency to create premier athletic wear for athletes competing in individual sports. His partner, David Pagana, is Andrew’s cousin.

Redvanly played team sports all his life including college hockey at Suffolk University in Boston. He eventually brought his brother and his cousin into his company and, over the following decade, Redvanly became an overnight success.

The Bridgestone x Redvanly collaboration starts with something Bridgestone does very well: limited-edition golf balls. Bridgestone is putting a Redvanly logo on its Tour B RX golf balls (the one Fred Couples plays) and packaging them in a special Redvanly-themed box.

The rest of the collab is curious.

Outfitting the Bridgestone ball fitters

The second part of the deal is that Redvanly will be outfitting Bridgestone’s legion of ball fitters. You read that right, my friends. All of Bridgestone’s ball fitters will be decked out head to toe in Redvanly gear.

“This partnership reflects a mutual commitment to pushing boundaries in golf, from the gear players use to the apparel they trust,” Redvanly said in a statement. “Together, Redvanly and Bridgestone Golf are defining what performance looks like at every level.”

What’s more, you can buy the exact outfits worn by your favorite Bridgestone ball fitter.

(That’s a sentence I never dreamed I’d write. As a kid, I dreamed of a Bobby Orr or a Carl Yastrzemski jersey. Now I can dress like a Bridgestone ball fitter.)

In all seriousness, the intent isn’t to sell Redvanly-made Bridgestone ball-fitter outfits. No one expects you to dress like a Bridgestone ball-fitter, but you will get to see some Redvanly apparel up close and personal at your next ball fitting.

Bridgestone x Redvanly golf balls: Price and availability

The Bridgestone x Redvanly Limited Edition Tour B RX golf balls are available now on the Bridgestone Golf and Redvanly websites. They’ll also be available at Redvanly retail locations in New York City and West Palm Beach.

The limited-edition Tour B RX balls will run $54.99 per dozen.
