If you’re a golfer who prefers walking the course and tired of dealing with sore feet after a round, comfort should be a top priority when selecting your next pair of golf shoes. New Balance is a comfortable shoe for golfers with wide widths. Ecco is my preferred when the weather is bad.

I wore New Balance sneakers for that reason for many years. Over the last five years or so, I have moved to Skechers for both sneakers and golf shoes. They also have wife widths (although they seem to be making fewer shoes with wide widths) and they have more cushioning on the bottom making them more comfortable, at least for me. Skechers don’t last as long as New Balance shoes do, but they are cheaper so that it works out about the same from a value perspective IMHO.

I’ve played golf for 127 years, all of them barefoot. The width is perfect and they are perfectly waterproof. Limited colors, of course, but that’s the price you don’t pay.

For my feet the Ecco Biom shoes are the most comfy I have ever owned. I wear them spiked and spikeless.

The best, most comfortable shoe, like mattresses, is an individual choice, one that often involves needs as well as preferences that may well change as you age. I wouldn’t buy based on someone else’s opinion without trying them on first.

I would like to try Skechers but can never find them in wide widths. Medium is to tight and the extra wide is loose on the side of my feet. Their website says wides are available but when I select a model it only shows the two widths. I find the same thing in retail outlets

I usually get mine in wide widths at either Golf Galaxy (or Dick’s) or PGA Tour Superstore.

Adidas Code Chaos are very, very comfortable – and also very stable! I’ve only been playing for 65 years though, so maybe not enough experience!

If you live in England, as I do, then a key factor is how waterproof shoes are. If the shoes leak water, then it does not matter how comfortable they are, because wet feet are highly uncomfortable. So my vote goes for golf shoes with Goretex – Ecco is the winner here.

It is hard to believe that Foot Joy Premier series did not even get mentioned. These are both the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn, they last a long, long time, stay dry are comfortable and provide much needed stability. Yes they are heavier than the Skeechers but are much better for a solid base when swinging a golf club.

I loved my sketchers and wore them till they started to fall apart, they were really comfortable. I recently bought a pair of Ecco Biom’s and was so impressed I bought a second pair. These are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned, wide enough across my foot, enough space in the toe box and supportive at the same time. The best shoes out there!

You folks nailed this one, both spiked and not. I’m 78, and play 2-3 times a week here in Northern NV ( despite the winter cold). I’ve had 20+ pairs of golf shoes over the years, and have now had Sketchers for about 2yrs. They are by a wide, wide margin, the most comfortable golf shoes ever…….so much so I have 4 pair. I heartily endorse them, especially the slip-ins.

I’m currently wearing Sqairz, the new models are very comfortable. I have played golf for over 50 years, and have worn almost every brand that’s been on the market since the mid-70’s. The only golf shoe more comfortable than what I wear now would be the pair of New Balance I had a couple of years back. I have worn Adidas daily since high school, but their golf shoes were the worst ever, spikes felt like they were coming through the sole. Wore them 1 round, and gave them away. My dress shoes are Cole Haas, but they aren’t very comfortable. Skechers weren’t great when I tried them in our pro shop. My co-workers who wear them off he course, hate them on the course.

In all of MyGolfspy shoe rankings you seem to consistently miss offerings from TRUE, who have been around for >15 years and are the brainchild of tour pro Ryan Moore and his brother. Beginning with zero drop models, they now offer conventional drop shoes. Nothing beats the TRUE Knit for comfort, and the TRUE Lux Hybrid combines comfort and support. Get with it MGS !!!

Agree with you completely on this! I have three pairs of True golf shoes and love each of them for their comfort (I sometimes wear my All Day Knit 2 shoes just to run errands or as my slip on for air travel)

I tried a pair of TRUE shoes. Comfortable in toe box but for me, not nearly enough padding in the heel. Blisters on both heels after 6 holes. Have added anti-blister pads and that helps a lot but my go-to will always be ECCO. Everyone’s different when it comes to what’s comfortable in a shoe.
