I wish we could go back to the days of persimmon, Hogan smoking his whole way around the round, and dudes slanging beers after the round at the club or hotel spitting nasty jokes and ribbing each other. And no, your local muni doing it now amongst fat lards who can’t get off the tee don’t count LOL

Yeah, just looked it up, and Scottie is 2nd in SG: Driving and 2nd in Total Driving … He’s the only one I can immediately see (without a ton of searching) that is not on this top 50 list in driving distance but is in the top 20 in the major driving performance metrics … and he’s 2nd!! (behind Cameron Champ). Pretty crazy outlier. He’s 70th in driving distance at 303, btw.

I figured Scottie would be somewhere in the top 20 or so. He usually is near the top in strokes gained off the tee. Hmmm…

Why would you think that? If you thought that just because he is 2nd SG off the tee and should be top 20 distance means you do not understand the concept of strokes gained.

More curious about the fastest clubspeed and subsequent ballspeed numbers from the testing group.

To be fair if that longest distance is from all the driving tests, then it can be not a true indicator as tester is always using different driver setups.

While the pros driving distance are only tracked on certain holes of a given day.
